Loveeee New Harvest!! Urban Greens grocery store in providence has New Harvest in the bulk area, so you can always fill up small bags with just a little of the different roasts so you can try them before you buy a regular sized bag.

Have bought beans from Borealis, but the coffee is always very ‘dark’ tasting. They are great because if you buy a whole bean bag, they will grind it for you specific to which coffee brewing method you use!

I’m trying to put together a coffee advent calendar with 12 different flavors, it will include 2 roasts from 6 different roasters in the state!

Having the same problem. Spouse and I make a little under $100k together, pre approved for $305k house, which the banks said would put our house monthly cost around $2k, no down payment. We’re currently looking under the $250k mark for a house, they need work, but we’re thankfully we are okay with that. We’ve seen at least 4 under $280k, that are move in ready, minor repairs, or cosmetic only.

I think your numbers seem a little off, but I still get your point. Housing prices are coming down, if you look at what they were 3,2 and 1 year ago you’ll see that we’re past the hump, working our way back down to cheaper. Ones were looking at were about $100k cheaper 3 years ago.

But our rent is $1200, so paying the extra for a house assuming you only pay for he next 30 years is better than an ever increasing rent, and paying for the rest of your life.

Places in CT are cheaper, but you pay for it in other ways (commute, amenities, car tax, etc)

I had this same problem, didn’t realize it was the windshield for a while, I just knew when it rained the passenger floor got wet. I assumed there was a hole on the bottom and when I drove through puddles? Took it to an auto shop, they found the leak, and were able to have someone come out and redo the whole thing.

Definitely check when it’s done. The auto shop sprayed my car with a hose and found the leak. I would definitely check to see what the warranty is when it gets done

I would just go straight to the health department or building inspector for your city. Also not paying rent is risky because it’s grounds for eviction. Our ceiling collapsed due to landlord neglect, our apartment was condemned for 2 weeks, and we still paid rent. But then the following month deducted the two weeks it’s was condemned.

Also I’ve been trying to get in touch with a lawyer for MONTHS about this and no one will return my phone calls or emails. So avoid the lawyer if possible. Just go straight to the top

Shoreline East doesn’t run to Mystic, it’s last stop is New London. Old Saybrook is probably safest for cars, but New London would rank next along the track. It only gets worse the close you get to NYC.

I’ve parked in New London many times for nights, or over nights and never had a problem. But it’s one of those things where one person will never have a bad experience, but then someone else will get their car broken into in the 10 minutes they left it alone.

There’s really two options. You can take Amtrak/Acela train all the way from Providence to NYC. It’s the more comfy train, outlets, reclining seats, etc. it makes stops all the way through RI and CT. It’s more expensive, but depending on the time of day it can be faster. It typically has less frequent travel times.

Other option is Shoreline East Rail which starts in New London CT, and is basically a commuter rail to NYC. It’s much cheaper, but can take longer since it makes more stops. It honestly depends on how much you want to drive, but I’ve left cars in New London (garage parking $), Old Saybrook (free parking at station), New Haven (parking in lots $, will have to walk a couple blocks to station).

You could also Amtrak to a CT stop and then switch to the commuter rail.

For Amtrak, buy online, prices are usually cheap weeks before, more expensive the close you are to the day, and then will drop again day off.

My recommendation, drive at least to New London, and get on shore line East there. You usually won’t have to switch train, except maybe once in new haven. You can buy tickets online or day of, I think they even have like a round trip off hours pass.
Or take Amtrak straight to NYC. It’s comfy, WiFi, can nap, or read, they have a cafe car with food and drinks. My husband and I did it to DC and are planning to do it again

Edit: Make sure you factor in traffic if your driving. It’s only an hour to New London, very little traffic, another 20 minutes to Old Saybrook, also low traffic, both easy drives. Going to New Haven and farther you risk a much high chance of traffic, along with driving through the cities to get to the station.

I have literally passed ebikes on my bike, so you can’t say that it doesn’t happen. Not all ebikes are going 25. Yes my whole point was that it’s not an ebike problem. There’s always going to be people going to fast, or passing people unsafely. I’ve seen rollerbladers pass people carelessly. It’s about using the path safely and knowing the path is for everyone

Most ebike assist cut out at 25mph, which is slower than some people ride a regular bike on the path. And the most people I see riding ebikes are either old, or just casually cruising. They definitely belong on the path, along with even escooters. I don’t necessarily agree with gas powered bikes on the path, but if they are riding safely, then I guess that’s okay. I think if the bike path as the highway for non cars. A lot of people use it to commute because it’s safer, so I can’t blame them for using an ebike on the path instead of the road.

To be fair, I see a lot of people doing dangerous risky stuff walking, running, and riding. Not looking, letting dogs go on long leashes, swearing randomly, not moving over, etc. I’ve been almost bitten by a dog because “they aren’t used to roller blades.” Okay well maybe don’t bring your dog then??

Unfortunately bike paths with be hard to regulate, but I think everyone can benefit from just better awareness and courtesy for everyone.

Do you need a new script? Some urgent cares will be able to write it for you, just bring in what your current dosing is. PP is definitely an option, I think I had to wait maybe a week to get an appointment. I don’t think there are many in the state, but the one in providence is great.

A parking pass is either $100 for a car register in Providence, or $200 for a car register outside the city. A parking ticket is $25. Most of my neighbors park on the street with no pass, and clearly don’t get more than 4 tickets a year cause none of them have bought the pass. I don’t know of any parking lots in that area, but I doubt they would be cheaper than a parking pass

You can barely even cut through the plaza to get to the other side! I wish there was less outdoor seating and maybe just more public tables and places to sit! There’s so many places that you can grab food/snacks from that don’t have any real seating. It’d be nice to make it back to a public space!
