Nobody cares about men's safety even if they are the most victims of violent crimes. Nothing new.

I'm pretty sure AI might make a better parent than some abusive assholes.

Personally, I think the future of AI is some currently unknown architecture that will be invented by AI.

Auto moderation can be evil too. China will definitely abuse it. It's also on Youtube already and is very faulty.

What's the point of that? If it's for my entertainment - I would know. If they need me, specifically - them they can scan me and just run AI copy in the simulation.

Reply to AI creating Games by 2farzzz
I think the general approach of roguelike games can work. Use it to generate level design. Place on the level playable characters based on selected genre. Use AI to generate models and music to make it fresh. Use AI to write dialogue of NPC.
I think such modular roguelike with selectable genre is possible.

Google Glass died for a reason. People didn't want to be constantly recorded by glassholes.
However, I would love wireless screen without camera that can be controlled with a phone. I could watch a movie while I'm on a walk with dog or something.

Recently I've read a post of someone who was suicidal but refused to go get help to specifically avoid this. It might actually be a feature.

Reply to When do you think we can get AI companions that are indistinguishable from real (or close enough)? by Smol-Willy-Gang
I think the barrier is mostly psychological, so I think it's will take a generation that is so lonely, that they will need a cybercompanion, but also not cringing at the thought. So my guesstimate is popularization in 2050.

I think it's more related with loss of the prestige of being an academic and increase in desire to become a businessman/woman. People think more how to make money than inventions for invention sake.

Dentistry is good for now. First you will be a normal dentist and earn a lot of money. Then tou will just buy progressively better dentistry equipment and one day you will earn by simply owning AI dentist robots.
