Reply to Asbury Park Hotel Recommendation by Steinbe3
People are failing to mention that the Empress has a club underneath it that has a pool and is loud as hell into the night.
Don't stay there unless you plan to party late night. It also typically caters to a specific clientele.
The Asbury Hotel and the Ocean Club are the nicest by far.
Check the Pony Schedule. Not all shows are summerstage, usually only the big acts.
St. Laurent is the old Tides Hotel.

Pretty sure no gunshots. Was down the street all night.
People that have never heard gunshots think everything is a gunshot.
Reports are some dickhead with a gun. Same with police scanner. Nobody has confirmed anything.

It could be any number of reasons. Hot water heating during peak times, etc. Check the tariff document.
Essentially ~$0.14/kWh is a typical rate for JCPL. You aren't getting ripped off.

It's your bill from the last 2 months, what's the problem?
Looks like a pretty typical rate.

Visibility at sea level is about 6 miles. These are 900' tall, they will easily be visible.

One guy won it at least twice over the course of a year or so.
You have to realize though that they people winning are typically blowing an equal amount per year on tickets.

Probably related to the turbines in Scotland that are currently leaking diesel into the ground from their attached diesel generators.

There are survey ships floating around blasting sonar at the seafloor attempting to locate points to anchor the turbine platforms.

It has it's own host of issues. After 4 years, 4 out of 5 turbines were inoperable and the ultra high voltage DC line to the shore was uncovered because they never buried it deep enough.

This is the whole point. Nobody can be sure until they actually take a look at it. But they are refusing to take a look at it.
Then there is the issue of the damage to the ecosystems in the bay with the cable being laid.

Why are there a ton of boat strikes only while this surveying is going on?
Yes, whales get hit by boats, but never at this rate.
The sonar and underwater noise does cause issues with the whales. When they were doing underwater geologic blasting a few years ago, the whales were acting strange then too.
All I'm saying is it should be studied/observed.

To be fair, they aren't blaming the turbines, they are blaming the underwater surveying for the turbines.
Essentially, the Orsted said, hey we can't be causing this, the signal source isn't as powerful as last time. NOAA said we believe you.
The lack of oversight or research into the topic is what a lot of people are concerned about. When has a large company or the government for that matter had any regard for the environment when billions of dollars are on the line.

Heavily dependent on azimuth and shading. I'm going to assume it's bad based on the fact that you are saving $10 a month.
It's probably a PPA. What's your rate? Seems high. They love to sell these with escalating rates too, so check that. +1-2% per year.

Nope. Went through this a year or so ago. They have to pull it for you.
I was told by basically every yard I called that it's a liability issue.
Used https://www.car-part.com/ to find the yards and the parts inventory listed is pretty accurate. Managed to find a used nissan fuse panel that the dealer wanted $800 for, for $45.

They don't usually knock on the door. They just go read it.
Only reason to knock on the door would be if you have the meter inside the house, which is grandfathered in until you replace the MDP and then have to relocate outside.
