Reply to Who do you think will win the Republican Party primaries for the 2024 Presidential Election in the state of New Hampshire? by Ok_Nefariousness_764
My bet is Sununu would comfortably win against both Desantis and Trump, and narrowly against just Trump.
If Sununu doesn't run I think Trump would beat Desantis narrowly, but I wouldn't be surprised if Desantis won, especially if he gains more popularity with Trump's base over the next nine months. If both Sununu and Desantis don't run Trump will probably win NH easily.
Other than Trump dropping out, I can't imagine a scenario where anyone outside of those three would win the primary.

Another way I see it is anything east of the 125 is in the Seacoast Region, so Rochester straddles the border.

Maybe as the crow flies, but driving time its closer to Portsmouth than the lake. It's also more integrated with the towns along the Spaulding corridor. Living here I've always felt closer to the seacoast than the lakes region.

Cheapest Seacoast city without living in the sticks though.

Let me put it this way, I cast my ballot against him the last two elections, yet I didn't suffer from crippling anxiety after he won.

I only lost power briefly where I live in Rochester, however my basement is flooded.

Same here. My wife and I were so lucky to get a house in 2020, we'd easily be paying $200-$300 more a month if we stayed in our apartment.

My property taxes are only increasing by $117, thankfully.

So does the party choose the candidates who would represent a county or are voters able to have input?

Interesting video. I understand the point, but I still think if you had the software draw districts only taking population layout into account and ignoring the voting patterns you could call it unbiased.

When it comes to proportional representation, do you still have a representative that is local to you? I am not sure how that whole process works.

I am all for an independent commission, although I always wonder how you choose members who are truly independent? I feel like everyone has some bias.
Personally, I would prefer to use a machine to draw districts to be as compactly shaped as possible. I think that's the only way to remove human bias. The compactness of a district can be objectively measured based on its shape.

So now you're against hand-counting ballots? I thought that was what you preferred since you don't trust machines.

If Biden wins reelection, he wouldn't be able to run in 2028 regardless.
If he loses, I don't think he'd run again, most former one term presidents never ran again.

If a constitutional amendment is as vaguely worded on the ballot as today's questions, then I would absolutely be concerned how people would vote on it.

Knowing how little research most voters do on the candidates, I still don't think it's worth the risk of voting for delegates who would seize the opportunity to try to make drastic changes.

I'm voting NO as well. Too much potential for the crazies of the vocal minority to get their way.

I think it will get better in the future. Portsmouth and Dover are pricing people out and Rochester has the room to grow and rehabilitate downtown.

Rochester:
Best: The most affordable of the communities along the Spaulding corridor.
Worst: Not as many options for food and entertainment as the other towns on the Spaulding corridor, meaning travel and tolls to go do stuff.

If Biden runs again, most unaffiliated voters will probably choose to vote in the open primary, I certainly plan to.
