Reply to Living in Longview WA by [deleted]
If you can live far enough away from the paper mill, and avoid the lower end neighborhoods, it’s not a terrible place to live. I might suggest getting a one month apartment and explore the area to figure out what you are comfortable with. I believe there’s some monthly places due to shutdown work, and your employer may have a great rate for a local hotel as another option.
There’s fishing, hiking, and other outdoor activities in the area.

How about you offer services, no strings attached! They have been offered services, but refuse to accept the terms and conditions.

Last I checked getting the vaccine went from preventing spreading the disease, to just saving your life. At the time, the forced firings occurred, all indications were the vaccine only saved your life, but did not prevent it spreading.
I have the vaccine if that makes a difference…

Reply to In Washington, is using a smartphone holder that mounts to the rearview mirror, like the one in the image, legal or illegal? by thismightbeawiki
I have put my phone covering part of the speedometer and gas gauge when I need to see the directions. In terms of the rear view mirrors, you must have any two of the three. A work van with no rear windows had the mirror and it was kind of pointless, and sometimes hauling stuff in a car renders that mirror useless as well.

I used a wipe board marker, I’ll keep that option in mind.

Wipe board marker. The other method I used was to tuck it where the black of the windshield would block the plate. I was allowed to use a company rig for personal use, but I would end up with different trucks throughout the year.

Agreed based on the amount of vehicles running around without plates and if you get pulled over you have paperwork.

Should be good taking the title AND a bill of sale (which you can print from WA dmv) to a license office. Patrol inspection should not be needed.

It takes less than 5 minutes for me to drive my kid to school, but the bus ride is over an hour. A stretch of the drive has a 50 MPH section, and no sidewalk, and barely any room on the white line between a guard rail. The worst part is watching other buses going back to the depot, while still waiting for my kid…

You can only make it to Coldwater lake per WA DOT.
The winter visitor center info (Only open Saturday/Sunday):
https://www.fs.usda.gov/recarea/giffordpinchot/recarea/?recid=40401
Thursday, Nov. 10, until further notice: Both directions of SR 504 at milepost 49.0 near Coldwater Creek, are closed for the winter. This closure includes the portion of road that leads to the Johnston Ridge Observatory, which is also closed for the winter. The lower portion of SR 504 at Coldwater Lake will remain open as weather conditions allow. Please check road conditions before you travel.
Note: Crews will reopen SR 504 in spring 2023, once the threat of significant snowfall has passed.
