That is correct, drinking water reservoirs are not open for swimming. Usually the watershed itself is posted no trespassing so that means no fishing either.

no. it's already a park. There is no "nationalization".

True. it was both. The vote was 126-7 and 27-7 and Rowland signed it. it was also backed by the CBIA. Its ironic that critics said it would increase rates.

CT State government does not regulate private generation. The energy supply market was deregulated in the late 90s by theState Republican administration. One thing Lamont could of done was push for natural gas pipeline expansion and get approval for the Killingly gas plant. Both of those would of mitigated the jump in generation costs we have today.

this is a free market economy, power plants - solar gas wind nuke coal , are built by companies, not the government.

Solar and wind sound nice until it comes to a neighborhood near you. There;s a reason why only 2 large scale wind turbines have been built in the state in the last 10 years. And solar takes up way too much land for minimal energy.

It wasn't an opinion it was an actual problem that made the news. As a matter of fact it was one of the main reasons why Massachusetts officials nixed their pipeline expansion plans.

you can try Harkness Memorial State Park , a Newport style mansion with gardens in Waterford. Nearby is fort Trumbull in New London, a masonry fort with nice grounds on the Thames River.
