Exactly. I'm leaning towards Rhynhart but, I'd be happy with Domb. It sounds like you and I have similar views on the candidates but, we're at risk of canceling each other out. This is a good case for ranked choice voting.

I don’t disagree. I hope they don’t split the reasonable vote.

Yeah, I called the obscured tag phone number earlier this week. I left a message. I still haven't heard back and the car moved down the block. Maybe other people have had better experiences but, I'm not optimistic.

100% correct. Thankfully, that useless fuck is finally approaching the end of his term.

Agreed. Domb and Rhynhart are the only candidates I'm considering.

If we had functioning basic city services like universal street sweeping, you wouldn't need to.

I don't think this is cause for immediate alarm but, the gains made over the last 20 years are fragile. Our murder rate is still way too high, we're unable/unwilling to address the trash issue, and the mayor hasn't done anything except drink white wine with extra ice cubes for years.
It's time for a change.

Speaking of this area, does anyone know if anything is happening with the old Fatso Fogerty's place?

Target was in the original proposal and I haven't heard of them backing out so, fingers crossed on that one. I think it's supposed to go just east of where the Shop Rite is.

There was a lot of pushback a couple years ago regarding what would or wouldn't go in the new Plaza. Kenyatta Johnson's office went out of his way to slow any kind of new development which, delayed the project.
Personally I dislike the suburban style layout of the whole place but, that will largely remain the same.
Have you tried the new Aldi yet? I went the weekend it opened and it was great.
GumshoeAndy t1_jd3cgmp wrote
I don't have a lot of updates but, the Sprouts will be next to the Pet Smart and Planet Fitness. I think another club is supposed to take over the old LA Fitness spot. There's a new seafood spot with a liquor license opening just south of where LA Fitness was.
That's about all I know for now. No idea when the apartment construction is supposed to begin.

My neighbors have grabbed my packages, shoveled snow, babysat my son, and helped my family in more ways than I could list in a single reddit post.
A neighbor of mine was re-pointing some of the masonry work on his rowhome last summer. When he finished his house he touched up some trouble spots on his neighbor's house. That kind of stuff happens all the time and makes me love my neighborhood.
