The best way to "fix" this is to have a monthly line item in your budget for fun/spending money. That way you are allocating funds that need to be spent on a night out etc

Go to the courthouse and get married before buying a home together - makes things much simpler from a legal perspective. You can always splurge on a big reception later.

Always contribute at least something to your 401k, it will be more difficult to start later
