Cutler should be on the list. People think it's shut down but it's just under civilian control. When the Ukraine invasion happened it began running 24/7.

I like how all the CMP defenders ignore the fact all the local electric co-ops haven't had their rates rise.

Pro tip most likely they have coverage, just use a towns hall when signing up where their is coverage and then switch to your physical address after signing up. Its worked for multiple people I know including myself.

TMobile has made a massive push in Maine. I get better coverage in Washington County than I did with Us cellular.

What sucks is most of those will just sit and get worse with no incentive to fix or remove them. Some towns have laws that make repairs expensive because they want historical looks.

I wonder if seawater is better or worse than the shit they put on the roads. Which one has more salt content.

It would help if you read what you post bud, first off, the article doesn't mention Maine but it does reference an article that does. That article actually claims that Lobster pop in Maine is increasing and at an all-time high in 2018.

Versant will tell you it's not their pole and leave it unpowered while you have no heat.

The capitalist catch-22, need infrastructure to keep people in low pop places, can't build infrastructure because it's not profitable for low pop places.

Not cheaper by any means. Starlink is great if there is nothing else as it's $110 a month plus $600+ to install YOURSELF. Shows how awful internet monopolies are in the states as in Europe with competition the same EXACT service is half the cost.

Mass exodus because Musk fired half the company and then demanded the rest work 80+ hours a week. He gave them an option to leave for 3 months pay and everyone took it. Those that decided to stay are probably not gonna stay for much longer considering the workload that will get dumped on them. It's a damn dumpster fire. IMO it's awesome, hope the same happens to Facebook. Mastodon seems promising as there are no algorithms and it's decentralized, seems more natural of a social platform.

Depends on where you live in Maine. Rural enough no one will know if you did or not.

I feel you could pass a littering ban that bans plastic political signs, wouldn't go against free speech as they would still be allowed signs but would have to resort to using compostable/burnable signs instead. The side effect is those signs would cost more so their would be less of them. Plus you can burn them for heat in the winter.

Personally I like Eastport, it has the best downtown of all Washington county. Gun violence is very low, drugs are a problem but super easy to avoid.
Internet generally sucks, if you can get spectrum you are considered lucky, consolidated is hot garbage better off with starlink if consolidated is your only choice. Starlink you want 0 trees blocking your sky.
Job market sounds about right, everyone is hiring so it's a big competition.
For buying a house, this is probably the worst time to buy tbh. Could wait out for the housing market to crash or get lucky.

They should make them out of wood at least not plastic. That way with killer fuel prices we can at least burn political signs for heat instead.
