What’s the point of having any government at all if we’re just going to let capitalism decide policy. Just let the free market do it at that point, we don’t need politicians.

I’d rather politicians do their job, but if that’s too much work for them we can just eliminate their jobs.

Let’s see… FTX was just busted and it’s been revealed that stock based coins they traded were not actually backed by shares of stock, but were being used as “locates” for shorting stock. I’d start looking into hedge funds that used crypto tokens as share locates. Perhaps ones that reported record profits in a year of record losses for other hedge funds, and coincidentally just recently moved their headquarters to Miami….

It’s so funny to see people so uneducated about a subject trying to take a victory lap over things they do not understand.

Crypto bros are rejoicing that scams they pointed out years ago are finally proving to be scams. Centralized exchanges are simply taking customer money and buying other things with it instead of backing customer assets. That why Not Your Keys = Not Your Crypto.

Literally the same concept if you are translating it to dollar bills and banks. But with crypto, there’s never a reason to use a centralized exchange besides laziness and ignorance. It’s just as easy to store your belongings on your own thumb drive that only you have access to. All of the crypto brokers are scams, even when they don’t realize it. They don’t think their job is to back client assets 1:1, but instead to use client money to grow the business and hope their collateral always covers their margin even though they deal with highly volatile products not backed by anything of actual value.

You are ready to put two people in the looney bin, this guy and myself, over a news story that provides no actual quotes or direct claims of the defendant.

You spent 60 seconds reading an article and believe you have all the information needed to determine a person’s fate.

Politicians must love how easily they can manipulate your emotions.

They never mention what his claim is. Maybe his claim isn’t that crazy at all, but the consequences to a specific individual by it being revealed are big enough to try to keep it secret. Why can’t the reader be allowed to determine for themselves what is a crazy claim and what is not. If they are going to publish this story, they should have the due diligence to publish the entire story.

Kanye is allowed to spew anti-semetic shit left and right and rile up social politics, so don’t tell me his crazy conspiracy is too dangerous for us to hear.

Not saying he isn’t crazy. But I don’t like taking the news’ word for it without the proper details.
