Probably chinese chef. Hong Kong is bunk and leongs honestly isn't that great, their general is way better(definitely best eggrolls in town though, hot damn) and Lucy's is super hit or miss depending on the location

Asian Hut and Yum Yum bowl are strong competitors as well if you haven't tried those

Shame they didn't have the balls to just boot her off the board entirely, especially after the crap she pulled in the meeting "in her defense"

In short, claiming it was just an excuse to publicly shame her and she shouldn't be in trouble because she "didn't know it was an sps event" and then closed with "I will continue to fight what the hustlers are peddling" which the conservative room seemed to enjoy

It was just so bizarre to watch. It was obviously just a stunt to keep that low-brow-conservative vote, very apparently antagonistic, and not even the first time she's done stuff like this. After all that, all they did is remove her arguably meaningless title for an unpaid board position?

Usually PSU will host various "new students" events, and a lot of the various student organizations will throw events around the start of the semester to get folks interested in their groups, but are a good place to meet people even if you aren't necessarily interested in the group itself.

There probably won't be anything on there now, but the msu calendar lists a lot of them closer to the semester, and there will be flyers all over psu those few weeks before classes start back up

Well, i mostly just know the ones i considered in Springfield for mine, so here are a few. I'll add if I remember any more

Nathaniel greene/mizumoto stroll gardens have some great spots

Busiek has some nice views

Commercial street in Springfield has some venues you can rent for "photo shoots"

Fellows lake has some really nice spots on the north bank

A "homeless village" ie a collection of small homes for them to stay in, providing a roof and resources (mainly rehab since most homelessness in Springfield is drug related) would be a massive step towards improving the area.

As others have mentioned, some actual transportation infrastructure would be fantastic

Bonus "it would be nice" ideas:

renewables power company to compete with CU

Addition of more green spaces/plants/vertical gardens around town.

As someone else mentioned; the gardens aglow is great.

I believe they have a big drive through lights display at Shephard of the hills in Branson

Depending on when they'll be here, farmers park farmers market usually does a Christmas-y market, not sure what day it is this year though

There's always Christmas eve Chinese food. Very important tradition

I mean a well rated handyman would be your best bet if you don't feel comfortable doing it yourself. For something that minor you'll still be charged hundreds by any contractor in town

Though if it is just shims, using a jack to lift the joist then sliding a new shim in is pretty simple

The owner at hakaars bazaar on commercial street actually just recently started selling candles that are made all natural without any of the harmful stuff. As a bonus they smell amazing

Definitely check out Metagames and their respective Facebook page, lots of folks play in the back of the store and the employees would almost certainly be down to help find some groups for ya.

Sort of related, there is a group on face book called TOMAHOC which is more or less the "tabletop gaming in the Ozarks" group. A lot of the focus is on warhammer but you could definitely post a "looking for group" on there as well

Loveless ink on Battlefield and Campbell does good stuff, including the exquisite "Danny Dorito" tat they gave some guy and have pictures of in the studio. The owners work is great and usually pretty cheap

Well theres Dental ER on primrose

Supposedly Aspen also does emergency care but I'm not as confident on this one

If you just want to try to make it to through the weekend, you might try going to a walk in clinic/urgent care to see if they can at least give local anesthetic or painkillers of some kind to help. I know family medical has an in house xray so they can like.. prove there's an issue to help with the whole tricky painkiller issue

Best of luck regardless, probably don't do the whole chisel thing

Yeah there have been a few that like to hang out and ruin the nice weather. Not sure why it's still allowed, even the Crew and Chi Alpha kids wanted him gone and would set up near him and offer folks hugs instead.

Filing a complaint to security for antagonistic comments is about all you can do sadly

Well, Jack Henry is the biggest one I can think of at the moment for accounting and such

Aim for South/Southwest side, we have lots of theft in spfd but the South side is way better. Most of the stuff to do is on the South side as well, excluding downtown and Commercial street

Well restaurants are one thing we have in spades, here's a few top ones by genre(?)

Asian: Bawi korean bbq, Rama Thai, Koriya, Craft Sushi, Kung fu taco is amazing

Bbq: City butcher, Whole hog

Steak: Rerico (all you can eat Brazilian style), Jimms isn't too bad

Mexican: Tortillaria Perches, Ceasars old Mexico

Other: Van Goghs is great Dutch food, Zayka is really good Indian, Gailey's or Early Bird for breakfast fare, Neighbors Mill for Panera style stuff but good

Hard to go wrong honestly

On occasion they'll leave a gallon or two in the furnace closet and you can just crack those open

Alternatively, if you're already having to spackle some nail holes, just carve out a 1x1 inch square to take to have lowes/homedepot/sherwin paint match, then patch the dent. Usually best to aim for outlet adjacent or somewhere towards the floor
