I totally agree on the sound stage whore. It’s addicting

pre 2017 / till mid ish 2017 .... then sennheiser changed the design to black. So about 17-20 years of this colour design.

I agree. Bought one 600 a week ago. Not the best sound but a great standard and the looks are so timeless to me.

Perfect sound stage. It has beaten the 1990 which I dislike to the fullest in Half Life 2 Episode 2 where Alyx and Vautigont talk about the Combine invasion together with Gordon... The placement is perfect. Mids are great and treble laid back compared to the M1ST or probably the 600 which I did not receive yesterday thanks Hermest packet service (I have it listed as send to gas station but they went to my home). Bass might be a no-go or a win because it has nothing to do with consumer headphones, it is literally a subwoofer but quieter with so many shapes and levels of darkness. Also super unconfortable headband but pads got bigger by far compared to my now sold NDH20 which sound fake. It needs an amp and shows flaws in music like positioning of everything.

Same answer: Price.
People try to separate headphones which frequently will result into calling lower end headphones worse.
KHP30i and 40 are two of the best bargains. Sennheiser 560s seem to be a great stopping point for some where the performance is good enough forever.

Ranbling: No need to step further than, in my case Sony M1ST with Yaxi Pads and Neumann NDH30. If I go further I will never listen to music anymore because I can not decide what is the definitive sound I want to listen too.

In Germany or where i was years ago firstly use a headphone which was too small. I am someone gifted with the unnoticeable big head problem die headphones… and that headphone was some cheap industrial & medical tank of a headphone. I assume it can only do like one thing and no music
