What if it was specifically designed so it didn't affect multiplayer and skilled players could unlock the same mechanic in a single run if they got far enough?

I mean technically thats actually what Area 51 was. They were just testing R&D for drones and shit out there long before the public even knew what a drone was. I actually had a special forces friend who said he believed in aliens because he was actually stationed out there and heard some DOE guys talking secretly about what i now know from the way they described it was probably the gimbal footage.

But you know what they say, if your tool is a hammer every problem becomes a nail, and if your tool is meth every bird becomes a CIA drone designed to steal your secrets.

Yeah bro UFO is literally an acronym for unidentified flying object. 🤦 Do a bit of research on the etymology...?

Idk man i'm kind speechless. I know the dunning-kruger effect is a thing but do you have to be so aggressively wrong? That acronym is like... common knowledge. And things being unidentified objects until they are identified objects is like... Like, thats how things in general work. Have you never dealt with the basic fundamental logic of things? Lots of things are the kind of logic a child would use. Like basic object permanence, which presumably you lack also in addition to being unable to distinguish between identified and unidentified objects. Just because children have these skills and you don't doesn't mean that they aren't an essential part of being a functioning... well, hell, not adult, but a person in general.

No xD they don't. There is literally not a single high quality recording of a UAP because the "phenomenon" of UAPs is unanimously and unequivocally the result of camera sensor, parallax or focal compression artefacting. If it wasn't blown out, distorted or poorly tracked, it wouldn't even BE a UAP, it would just be a fucking bird or weather balloon or whatever the fuck it actually was that they mistook for some kind of supernatural bullshit.

Exactly. But at this point the whole "Unidentified flying object" connotation being synonymous with aliens doesn't help the issue at all. Technically even an airplane is a "UFO" until it is identified as such. Everything is unidentified until it is later identified. It doesn't mean anything, really, and just feeds the conspiracy theorists.

Lol at people who speculate about the fermi paradox and not the drake equation.

If they're out there, they're not our neighbors. The chances that they're out there are incredibly high. The chances that any of them are close enough to communicate much less would want to are incredibly low.

People underestimate just how slow FTL travel even is compared to the scale of the universe.

People really underestimate how many independent parties are putting stuff up in the air or even into space.

I saw a video from a local college that basically put a gopro into space and I'm pretty sure they didn't get clearance from the government beforehand.

And how many times has a sporting event been put on high alert because some bozo put a drone in the sky at the wrong time? Everyone trusts the military to have their shit together but at the end of the day who would you expect to run on time and under budget, the US military or the NFL? At least the NFL can actually keep track of their annual spending and number of employees 😂 the US government can't do either of those things

Its kind of a theme in Twains writing. That doing the right thing often comes at the cost of doing the wrong thing in the eyes of the public.

This passage is straight up burned into my brain. I think about it so often and it kind of informs my whole moral philosophy: "Every man must speak, and it is a solemn and weighty responsibility not to lightly be flung aside at the bullying of the pulpit, press, or the empty catch phrases of politicians. You cannot shirk this and be a man. To decide against your convictions is to be an unqualified and inexcusable traitor both to yourself and to your country, let men label you as they may. If you alone of all the nation shall decide one way and that way be the right way according to your convictions of what is right, hold your head high, you have nothing to be ashamed of."

Like god damn dude. Still gives me chills every time i read it. Like its not just a responsibility to fight for what you think is right but also to not fool yourself and fight for a cause you know deep down isn't right and convince yourself that it is. So many people harbor insincere causes or bear flags for a false sense of justice and false sense of morality either because its easy or because it benefits them but he's straight up saying that they're cowards for taking the easy way out. And that real truth and real justice is never the easy road, it's the path less traveled and it takes real courage and conviction to walk that path alone.

Yeah theres a lot of stuff that falls into the "euphemistic cycle" where words develop a negative association and are replaced by euphemisms that in turn develop a negative association and are replaced by further euphemisms through a linguistic process called pejoration.

Its Karen's Maxim: All words are doomed to become offensive given enough exposure to time, resentment and sheer boredom.
