Yes, it is. I had to do home checks for all my fosters before they went to their new homes. With my foster dog I made sure the fence was secure and tall enough without room to go under, etc. With the cats and the dog I checked for plants that are toxic to pets and things like that. A lot of people don't know about toxic houseplants, essential oil diffusers, and other hazards. No one is trying to invade your privacy -- just make sure the home will be safe for the animal and possibly give some helpful tips for bringing the new pet home.

With the dog we spent weeks meeting up in public parks so the dog they already had could get to know the new dog on neutral territory. Then we spent a few more weeks with me bringing the new dog to their house for play dates. This was necessary for these two large dogs. It wouldn't always be.

Watching Over Whiskers - foster based cat rescue

Rescue One - foster-based rescue for both dogs and cats

I have fostered for both of these organizations personally and can recommend either one. I know a lady who fosters for Eden which another poster suggested and I know they are also good. I just haven't worked with them myself.

I came here to say this. I go to him even though I have insurance because his fee is lower than my insurance co-pay. Save the insurance for when I need a specialist or hospital.

You might also check with Petco. I have seen small animals in there to be rehomed before and have taken a fish there to be rehomed. Yes, weird, but he was attacking his tank mates and needed to live with bigger fish. LOL

Wait until Prime Day and they practically give the Kindles away. Then you can use the library to check out Kindle books without having to drive there. The vast majority of books I read are checked out of the library and sent to my Kindle without leaving my house. I only buy hard copies when I know I will want to keep the book.

I have the Kindle Paperwhite. No glare and it won't give you a headache like your Fire did. Also, you can probably trade the Fire in for a discount on the Kindle. I always send my old one in and get $20 or so off the new one.

We've had the service for a long time -- I think we were among the first to get it. The service has been very reliable except for a day recently when it seemed to go in and out all day. That issue was resolved by the next day.

There were some billing issues when Brightspeed first acquired them but those also seem to have been ironed out.

My husband works from home and has to have reliable internet and so far they have been better than AT&T fiber was.

Yes! I was wondering if it was just me. It's been in and out all day. Have given up on streaming music as it stops every few minutes.

Someone burglarized my neighbor with a U-Haul in broad daylight. I saw furniture and stuff being moved out but figured it was someone moving out with it being broad daylight and a U-Haul. A different neighbor has cameras and had the plate number of the U-Haul. All the cops needed to do was find out who rented the U-Haul. They did nothing. Neighbor never got any of his stuff back.
