Marked crosswalk, vehicle stops.
Unmarked crosswalk, vehicle yields to pedestrians.
Anywhere else, pedestrian yields to vehicles.

>At Jersey unmarked corners, pedestrians must yield to vehicles
Vehicles are required to yield to pedestrians at both marked and unmarked crosswalks. Marked are self-explanatory, but an unmarked crosswalk is any intersection that doesn't have a sign that prohibits crossing.
We also don't have jaywalking laws per-se. You can cross outside of crosswalks/intersections (e.g. crossing in the middle of a 1 lane road), but the pedestrian is required to yield to vehicles and they can be ticketed for failure to yield.

Why would they be buying single use bags? A reusable bag pays for itself in a few trips and lasts a long time.

How is it a joke? Plastic bags are an easy thing to eliminate and it has been successful so far.
It's a positive step forward and hopefully more will single use plastics will be eliminated in the future. It's just 1 example, but not long ago Costco stopped selling apples in a plastic clamshell and now use a cardboard box.

You clearly misread or misunderstood their comment. Try reading it again. It's obvious they're pointing out that regardless of how egregiously a cop behaves, they're often "punished" with paid leave.

Plastic bags are banned for all businesses, including pizza and Chinese places. They're only allowed to provide paper bags.
>Starting May 4, 2022, New Jersey retail stores, grocery stores and food service businesses may not provide or sell single-use plastic carryout bags and polystyrene foam food service products. Single-use paper carryout bags are allowed to be provided or sold, except by grocery stores equal to or larger than 2500 square feet, which may only provide or sell reusable carryout bags.

Selective enforcement. Same as with window tinting, license plate obstruction, rear view mirror hangings, and other various things.

After midnight you can still take the PATH to get across the river and then take an Uber from Newark Penn since the PATH runs 24/7. Ubering from Newark Penn is going to be cheaper than all the way from JFK or really anywhere else in the city.

Clearly it's not rare because almost every day there's another mass shooting in a grocery store, church, school, mall, or whatever else. This is a US problem and one that exists because of guns.

Reply to Check Engine Light Doesn't Come On When Car Turned On, can the car still pass inspection? by Consistent_Fig_1936
The car has to be in a ready state to be able to pass. If you've cleared a code, it won't be ready until you complete a drive cycle. A scanner would tell you if the car is ready or not ready.
As for how to complete a drive cycle, that varies by manufacturer but generally you need to drive some number of miles at various speeds including highways speeds, stop and go, etc.

Reply to I’m out of state for work and need to renew my drivers license, I have some questions about the online renewal. by [deleted]
As long as you renew an NJ license on or after your 21st birthday, the license will be a normal horizontal license. I remember going to the DMV on my birthday to renew it when I turned 21 and it was indeed horizontal (back when they printed it on the spot).
Whether the paper temporary license receipt is valid out of state would really depend on whether or not New York recognizes it.

You can also vote early in person up to 10 days before the election (though it's obviously too late for that now). I voted last week in the middle of the day, not a single person was there other than the election workers. Was in and out really quickly.
