I checked Washington Post and WTOP…no mention of any of this. It’s just another bad sign that this is so commonplace, it doesn’t even get coverage.

Reply to comment by HockeyMusings in Ohio toxic air in DMV? by ghostofhogan
Thank you! I’m actually relatively close to the site at the moment and was wondering this…whether the EPA or some other federal body was monitoring the air. I figured they were, but couldn’t find anything definitive that said it.

There are a bunch of wholesale stores around Rockville. Can’t remember the names of them.

How about Wagshal’s? They seem to have a lot of catering options.

I used to live in Kew Gardens (27th and Q) and really liked the building. Quietest building I’ve ever lived in and the management was friendly.

Reply to Car-Having Etiquette by woodscomma_elle
What I’ve experienced is that people subtly like to try to get a ride with me. They drop these hints about having to get to Dulles the next weekend for a flight, innocently play dumb by asking me how I plan to get to a certain party, etc. Or, I get invited somewhere and it’s pretty obvious that it’s a driving location. Like, “Oh, you should totally come camping next month!!!”
I suggest having firm boundaries with people. You have no obligation to drop off someone because they’re “on your way”. I’ve found that someone who wants a ride tries to always say they are on the way lol. And if you are a driver for an event or party, it’s fine to ask for a reasonable payment, or a drink at the bar, etc.

Reply to Where do I find country ham? by All_Vol_19
I also appreciate a ham!! I think Wagshal’s has country ham. Also, I sat at the bar once at the Line hotel in Adams Morgan and ordered a ham sampler. It was expensive and AMAZING. But, this was awhile ago, and I have no idea if they still have it.
