A dumb screen with the same specs would probably cost a good bit more since they'd be losing out on the option to datamine what you watch.

If you already have the Apple TV, can't you just leave it disconnected from the internet? I'm able to use my LG as an entirely dumb TV that way.

How in the world are they filming so fast? Severance came out before Slow Horses and season 2 might not release until 2024. Meanwhile Slow Horses over here is doing two seasons a year?

The original Star Trek was very nearly cancelled after its second season. Only a fan write in campaign saved it for one final season.
