Pay to win mechanics will prevent me from even considering a game. I don’t like it when the paid items are “just cosmetic” either. But I tend to tolerate that because it’s in damn near everything. But if that’s too egregious I won’t play that either. Looking at you, Overwatch 2.

I don’t know. I had more fun with Street Fighter II, Mortal Kombat, Tekken, and Soul Calibur than I did with any of the modern fighting games.

Exactly what I came in to post. The first one was so great. It’s a tragedy that this one came so close to existing and now it looks like it will never release.

Dungeon Hunter 3 for the mobile.
I paid like $7 for DH2. It was great. It was totally a Diablo rip off, but it was a full game for $7.
DH3 came out when the free to play model started getting a lot of traction.
Every single thing you did cost a dollar. Leveled up? Apply your points for $.99! Looted a treasure chest? Equip the items for $.99! Those are honestly the only two examples I got. I uninstalled it after playing for about 5 minutes.

Probably mostly nostalgia, but there was some absolute legendary games from that era;
Chrono Trigger
Final Fantasy 6
Secret of Mana
Super Metroid

This is extremely niche, but botw’s weapon durability system alone made me hate that game. It seems like a really cool game otherwise, but I absolutely fucking hated my weapons breaking constantly during fights.

Yes!
I was pretty excited to play monster Hunter when I saw it coming to gamepass. Then for like two hours the game constantly kept throwing up walls of text to explain mechanics of the game. Then I just said “fuck this. Im out.” I uninstalled it and never touched it again.

I think they’re giving an attempt to do better, but I’d hardly call it a 180.

The only thing I understood is the two naked people on it and I’m from earth. I really don’t think an alien will be able to make any sense of it.

I would get a Viking game with an actual story.

Me too.
I also bought WWE2k22 at the beginning of the year too though. But gamepass is amazing.

It’s like buying the same Zelda game every year except the bosses have different names.
