Too bad that Honeywell turned to garbage. I wonder where their parts are manufactured? 🤔

Not a senior and I can fix a water heater, just a convenience. In the past year, I have rebuilt the lawnmower engine, renovated all 3 bathrooms and removed the stucco and replaced it with tindle stone.
When there is no hot water, some if us want it resolved in the same day.
It is no different than having an apartment or condo and not being concerned with a bad roof or a broken window since it is part of the rental price or monthly condo fees.

Reply to Heating element on dryer by Lil-Sprankles-2402
YouTube will be your best friend for this.
My previous dryer had a heating element that I could get to from the front of the machine. It took some time and a long bit-driver extension but it was done in about 45 minutes. It is not a complicated procedure
It's a great idea to do it yourself considering what technicians charge per hour, plus they will have to order the part and you have to wait 3 weeks before they come back.

Reply to First time homeowner contemplating first repair (caulk), but overwhelmed with “twists”… by MindClimber
Remove it all and re-caulk or you'll be chasing the issue for years to come.
The one trick that contractors do is to fill the tub before caulking around the tub.
The weight drops the tub. Otherwise, the caulk will separate from the tub later in when you fill the tub for a soak.

I wouldn't bother. Post it for sale to see if anyone wants it as a vintage item.

Agreed. It looks like that is part of the metal frame.
