Phylloxera is quite the nasty little bug , it’s from NA though which is why grape varieties from Europe had 0 resistance to it , some hybrids are ok and unless you live close to a vineyard or forest any home grown grapes won’t have to worry about it since it doesn’t spread far

I’m writing this as my last message

I don’t know who will find it , or even if it will still exist after this but… well here’s hoping

This gun I have will change the history of anyone I shoot so that it was justified , does it make them a criminal? A murderer? I don’t know until I kill them and then history changes but I remember it , I remember all of it. I’ve done some horrible things as it stands but overall I’ve been lauded as a hero, but I know deep down I’m a monster , so I’ve decided to use the gun on myself.

My hope is that the world will be better off or that the history that is written won’t be to destructive , but I can’t imagine a history where almost everyone agrees it was a good idea I killed myself was a great thing without something bad happening as part of it , but that’s ok , I’m fine being the villain this time if there’s even a chance that the damage I have done so far is undone , though maybe I may become the biggest monster humanity has ever seen, I guess I won’t know after I pull this trigger.

Well no, kayn isn’t a serial killer , he has a dark mind but he just has an insane amount of willpower , his one arm is almost fully taken over in his model and it’s only because that arm was injured and rhaast healed it (if I remember correctly, it’s just that the darkin , though immortal ascended beings were not super strong in there minds from the ascension , like nasus didn’t become more brilliant from ascending

The darkin were no different before they got sealed into weapons , and some were not inherently evil though most were a bit brutal and went very much insane (aatrox) after being forgotten for so long since they are immobile as weapons

I wouldn’t call it mortal enemies , Kayn is also not fully aware of how much Rhaast can take over and rhaast does willingly help out and not hold back his power , remember the transformation we see in the game is a theoretical one and kayn is shocked when rhaast kills him to take over his body , kayn just goes into the back of his mind essentially then.

Because story wise kayn has been injured so many times badly that rhaast could of just not helped him and took over , rhaast more then likely enjoys the banter and is reaping more then enough soul energy being kayns scythe , we can see that in kayns dialogue where he asks rhaast to do more to help out and the response is “ I am the scythe all I can do is help out “

Diamonds are intrinsically worthless , of all the precious stones they are pretty much the least precious , if you were to take random samples from the earth globally and take an average , you would find diamonds practically everywhere and easily 100x more then say emerald (green beryl) which that being said some variations of “common” gemstones are so extraordinarily rare that they have an actual scarcity such as bixbite (red emerald ) and are super valuable but it’s hard to find any jewelry made from them

The town we had built for ourselves was quite fortified , it had to be , the zombies just never stopped , mindless though they may seem , determined they most definitely are.

This night something was different though … it was quiet… to quiet… we had scraped up some nightvisions gear from a tech store as we used it to scout the area around town from crude towers we built

“ look at them in the farm fields we built , why are they out there? “ the lead guardsman asked me

The next day the horde amassed around our farms , we saw zombies fried to a crisp on the fence surrounding it , seems they just kept piling on it until the generators died… the bastards … that’s our food for this month….

As night broke the horde grew emboldened and starting creeping towards the town… they had never done this before , I knew it was going to be a bloody battle , I sounded the alarm to rally everyone crude armor to protect from bites , reusable weapons , we were prepared but this horde was massive…

Suddenly we picked up several humans , atleast they looked like humans sweeping through the horde , hundreds if not thousands were downed in minutes… the figures appeared at our front gate bruised and cut , some with bites and made a perimeter

“ open the gate and let us in “ the one I could best describe as a leader shouted

“ what the hell are you , you move to fast to be people “ I shouted back

“ because we are not people! Gragh…. I can smell it… I hunger…. please you are the last human colony in miles and we need …. Sustenance “

“ sustenance? You intend to eat us? Hell to the fucking no , get lost or we will shoot you “

“ no wait, we just need blood , not to kill anyone , animal blood is to scarce now and these things make us sick if they are not fresh , we will all die without humans…. Yes…. Humans …. Delicious blood … ARGH the hunger “

“ what benefit do we get from you then for this trade huh , why should we bother “

“ isn’t it obvious ? The zombies are learning , they are driven , and they will break in eventually , you humans get one bite and your dead and one of them in a few hours , us though…. We can’t be turned…. And we are fast… and strong… we will fight them for you … we can even go gather materials from the city… “

It was an enticing offer…. The zombies did seem to grow in numbers no matter how many we destroyed …. But there would have to be rules…. And a town wide decision….

“ I will… consider it , but before I even go and talk to my people there’s some ground rules , no one sick can be taken a tithe , nor can our main guards , or any of the children or anyone who outright refuses. And absolutely under no circumstances can you turn anyone to a vampire “

“ yes we accept those terms please , the hunger gnaws at my mind “

I called a meeting of the towns leadership roles , though most were hesitant at first , we knew at this rate that we would be starving in a week … and we had some blood bags that would not be fresh much longer…. It was settled , I grabbed several bags from the makeshift care centre we had and headed back to the gate

At the top I threw the bags over to the leader “ an offering of good faith, now can I except one back from you? “

The vampires ravaged at the blood bags the leader drained one entirely on his own, he seemed to become relaxed after eating.

“ thank you humans , even if you did not agree to let us in this wolf stave off the hunger for a time… the madness of hunger… we don’t like what we become… as for our gesture of good faith… let us manage this horde of yours” with a snap of his fingers the vampires rushed through the zombies , heads and limbs were flying , after close to 30 minutes the entire horde was just a pile of corpses strewn about , the gaurds for the town walked out to see the damage to our walls and farm , the vampires started dragging the corpses away to our “compost bin” while the leader walked up to the gate again , though open he did not enter “ I hope that offering is satisfactory “

I was astonished by what I had seen but I knew we had already decided “ we came to a decision , we will let you in on those conditions mentioned, if you harm or turn anyone without their choosing you will be exiled without question “

The leader bowed and looked back up “ thank you kindly , you will not regret this, and I assure you we will behave as without you , we will sure starve to madness”

The vampires chose a small corner of the town to set up there “colony” , they were not what I expected them to be at first , friendly , easy to talk to… after time they became proper citizens , most townsfolk willingly gave a little blood when they could , our numbers stopped dwindling from zombie attacks , and things felt… peaceful almost…

One extra tidbit to add , our lungs are very capable of exchanging oxygen and co2 with a liquid so even amniotic fluid would be able to do a chemical exchange

This amulet, if the stories were true then it is the cursed amulet of atriech, it is rumoured that the amulet slowly drives you mad from corruption while it gives you what you desire….

As I picked the amulet up I could hear a voice in the back of my mind… a burning voice… and suddenly I could imagine what the voice was saying even if I couldn’t understand it… I tried to ignore it best I could as I prepared to leave the Tomb

Images of gorgeous women appeared but I only desired my wife , so these would not tempt me , I could feel there touch…. But I knew I had to keep going to leave this place

Then suddenly crystals and gold flooded my mind , it would be nice but I already made well enough from my work that we lived comfortably, what need do I have for a mansion…. Or riches … I did not desire that either… the burning feeling in the back of my mind grew… the voice was almost becoming more discernible , I could feel frustration coming from the amulet

Next I seen myself growing old with my wife , however I knew this temptation was a lie , if the stories were true then this amulet would kill mr from madness before I ever got old…. The spirit inside was becoming desperate … the voice started to sound like a grinding angry “whyyyyyy” I could only imagine it wanted to know why nothing it offered tempted me , I wondered… would it eventually find something to tempt me I would want? Could it read my thoughts as I had them now…. No… the voice didn’t seem to react to my thoughts just my actions….

I wonder can it hear me speak…. “ you know I do quite like nature…. “ I spoke the words out loud even though I was alone in this tomb , suddenly it showed me a secluded forest with a home…. So I guess it can hear me then.

I paused for a moment to think , I knew I had to be near the entrance despite the amulet trying to tempt me, and as I arrived I had a thought…

“ my greatest desire…. Is to put this amulet in my cabinet with my other artifacts” I spoke it aloud so the spirit would hear it

For a moment no images appeared…. I figured I had confused it , then suddenly an image of me putting the amulet in my cabinet appeared, if I took this temptation then it would lose … did it know this? Or was it a trick…. But before I could decide the burning feeling receded the amulet felt…. Inert …. Did I win?

I continued on my path home… and I wondered… maybe… maybe it didn’t need to spend all its time in a cabinet if it was inert…

Oh god the lift he is getting off the ground even , that’s like a full force kick

Angels and demons , both want out , you would think heaven and hell would be ideal for them but apparently it’s so mundane for them they just want out. I was sent to limbo , the in between due to , well , let’s call it a “clerical” error and eventually got picked up to be a broker of sorts for vacations for them, lots of jobs out in limbo , this one just seemed to work for me.

You see when someone gets possessed in the mortal world , be they by a demon or a angel it’s mostly just a vacation for the the possessor. And oh boy it surprises me sometimes what they choose to do , Leonardo da Vinci and Einstein were both possessed by the same demon even , really smart chap at that. Most of the time the vessel is possessed young for the “full” experience but occasionally we get some mid life possessions. You know the deal , some aspiring star suddenly sinks there whole career stupidly , you know the one, that was an Angel (sorry NDA can’t say who) that wanted to party a bit to hard.

It isn’t so black and white in the end , some demons do great things , turn peoples lives around , some drag them down further so they can torment them , same for the angels, two of the most atrocious possessions I saw were angels , got this one guy right after he got kicked out of art school and well , let’s just say us here in limbo did not see that coming.

But that’s the Beauty of it all , what they do during the vacation is off the records , only those of us In limbo really know , and sadly we can never leave really either , we can get the comforts of a human life for eternity though just to put some time in working.
