You'd want the Iron Goat Trail for this. I hiked it a few years ago. Since then, I heard the upper part of the loop trail had a mudslide and was closed off. I'm not sure if it has been cleaned up. The lower trail is an easy hike and features snow sheds.

While you're in the area, stop at nearby Deception Falls. Especially in the spring when the water is fast.

Their rationale is described in the linked article. If you can find a copy (and can stomach it), I suggest reading The Turner Diaries to learn more about the sick race war fantasy that drives these people.

This tactic has been going on for a while. Earlier this year, three white supremacists were convicted of supporting this kind of attack on our energy infrastructure. I think they're really itching for that race war they've been dreaming of for so long.

Unfortunately, they can and will. Look at the past 6 years. They drank the orange kool-aid and can't wake up from the orange sleep of Mari-La.

I hidden trail cam might catch a license plate if strategically placed. It wouldn't stop them, but at least police (FBI?) would have a lead. Frankly, this is something the state should be setting up.
