It can be. I was driving at night recently and wondering if my headlights were working. Pulled off the road and there was apparently so much salt that they didn't seem to be working before being cleaned.

In other circumstances, the salt will degrade the paint on your car, so it is to your advantage to wash it off.

They did not flip 3 house votes. They flipped the house, the three votes turned out as expected. They had already elected Democrats, but one died and two were elected to other offices. This is all in the link, but the title is misleading.
