I have not, but they do sound cool!

It was neat. First thought honestly was aliens. Then I remembered Starlink was a chain of small satellites, looked up the locations and sure enough one had just gone overhead.

Fun story about iridium, I once sailed to Bermuda with someone who worked on the project for Motorola. They chose the name iridium because initial plans were for 77 satellites in the constellation. But at least one launch failed and others might not have worked so really it should be called osmium or rhenium.

I don’t think you’ll get an answer on Reddit.

Wherever you go, be sure to check for closures. DEM closes certain grounds due to bacteria levels and overfishing from time to time. I wouldn’t want to be eating any fecal coliform quahogs or get into trouble with DEM Police.

My wife and I work in MA but live in RI. She is remote and occasionally goes to her office in MA. I go to work in MA every day.

If you live in one state but work in another, usually the state you physically work in takes out your deductions then you file in both states but only pay in whichever state you would owe more in. You might get a refund, you might owe. This is what I have to do.

Because my wife is classified as remote, even though her employer and office after in MA, she only has to file in RI.

I believe that if you have a set schedule, say 1/4 of your days in the office and the remaining 3/4 remote, you have to file in both states and your employer will have to do the same. This was a big factor in my wife’s employer making her 100% remote.

We won’t file jointly this year but probably will next year. We’ll also probably hire an accountant at that point.

Public consumption is illegal.

You can smoke or vape in a private setting like your air bnb, rental property, or if you are very careful in a hotel.

Be extremely careful if staying at a hotel or air bnb though. The powers at be could still hold you to account if they don’t allow consumption on property (they don’t).

If you really need a place to burn, dm me.

This is only anecdotal, but my understanding is that you can look up other providers on a state exchange/website. However, RI Energy has the lowest rates. The recent rate hikes are a pass along by the regional grid manager — you can’t really get around this by switching local providers.
