The article says almost nothing about this expedition except that it was a “collaboration” with a doctor. It sounds more like a holiday with a friend than anything military.

Most young men do this kind of thing given the choice.

They could have had one big chamber behind the two bores. The force would still be uneven but at least on time.

They don’t coordinate?
I didn’t say that ATC breaks the law for people’s convenience. The article says that this airport does stay open for unforeseen circumstances. It sounds like the pilot took the slack for granted.
Either the folks in this story didn’t communicate well, or they agreed to risk it at the last minute.

Usually they coordinate to avoid closing while a plane is on the way ffs

What was debunked here? Isoamyl acetate isn’t naturally derived from old stocks of extinct bananas?

Reply to comment by Cerulean_IsFancyBlue in Why Nikola Tesla is So Famous (and Westinghouse is not) by pier4r
Besides lightbulbs, Westinghouse Electric was one of the biggest companies in the US in the postwar period. They made nuclear reactors and invested heavily in media.
We don’t hear the name much anymore because it was diluted so much by being a conglomerate. They pursued a lot of research and high tech ideas that didn’t pan out. There was no kernel to form the core of a new company, so the divisions were all sold off and renamed.

The Cadillac Fleetwood was no Kia. Official inflation stats say “only” $47k 2023 USD but it was the top production car from the top luxury brand.

You just claimed that DDR5 SDRAM isn’t faster than magnetic core memory. Then you moved the starting point from core memory to mid-80’s DRAM, a completely different thing. Then gave the state of the art as 100ns when it’s more like 25ns if you stop to search. Then you still came up with 3x improvement in contradiction to the first sentence.

Looks like decode logic. Core memory doesn’t need refresh like DRAM. It does need to be restored after reading, but it’s hard to say if this board implements that step or the CPU.
