Dine-in only at Del Ray Pizzeria. Close second for non-pan but substantial Sicilian at both Italian Store locations.

It’s my go-to. It’s super heavy. Use 2 hands to carry the box.

No one outside my industry can understand what my employer does, and those in don’t understand my role as a lawyer for it. At least, when I worked at the State Department, everybody just thought I was a spy.

This is the best advice! We get so focused on the mechanics of connecting that we lose the bigger picture of the journey. Yes, rent a car at Dulles and drive the hour to West Virginia. More time with your family! Less time traveling.

I think you should stick with Dulles, and take the silver line Metro to Union Station.

Catering is one of those rare things that see unit cost increase when buying more. This is because of the increasing complexity of serving large numbers and fewer vendors equipped to make larger meals. Good luck.

I will say this, sometimes the cab drivers have been completely sketchy. I swear one guy was drunk as he tried to navigate the freeway to Virginia. I thought I was going to die.

There is no way I would be walking any distance from Union Station after 11 PM. Wait for a taxi immediately in front of the station.

Dr Tamjidi has offices in Chevy Chase and McLean. She is very good. Not sure she will be able to address your complaints but she will get you a referral to someone else if she can’t.

New York by Amtrak. You arrive in the heart of Manhattan and the world is your oyster. If you book weeks in advance, it’s much cheaper. Hotels are pricy and cabs are fewer since the pandemic (we now use Uber exclusively to get around).
Chicago is awesome but only in Summer and early fall. Take the architecture boat tour, and visit the Art Institute. Hotels are often much cheaper in winter if you can gear cold and wind.

Welcome. You have spotted many of our ways. A few more: When you ride the Metro, don’t stand to the left on escalators, and stand aside outside cars before boarding to let others out. And if more than 1 inch of snow is forecast, go to that Trader Joe’s and buy out all eggs, milk and bread.
