I’d call 311 and report an abandoned vehicle. They can tow the car, and maybe run the VIN.

UPDATE: my husband went to the market in town, and reported that it wasn’t crowded. He was able to get everything on his list.

I remember this storm. It hit around school dismissal and the roads were too backed up for the plows to get through. Yeah, that was a shit show.

Same thing happened in Brooklyn a few years ago. Whole Foods was wiped out of kale. KALE! Nobody had an explanation.

It’s going to rain in most of the state tomorrow. I’m not really worried.

Is this only a Providence thing? Because I’ve been places in the state with more than 60 people and haven’t been frisked.

It’s not crazy unusual for a March snow dump, but, yeah, nobody really wants that anymore.

Seems like the forecasts are all over the place. At any rate, I’m down in Rhode Island, so we’re only getting rain. While I am usually very pro-snow, c’mon winter, it’s mid-March. Give it up, already.

I’d love to know if the reason is anything more than “rates went up.”
I think Providence dodged a bullet. That is one ugly-ass building.

Okay, maybe it’s just me. The food tasted pretty much how I remember Chinese food tasting when I was a kid. Maybe I’m a snob now.
I will say that their hot mustard is crazy good. If they bottled it, I would buy some.
But…yeah. How did they make that food so quickly?

Someone here said there’s a place in Barrington that’s better.
The other thing was that our food was out in, like, three minutes. There was no way any of that was even partially prepared fresh.

A few weeks ago we got dinner at Luke’s. While I enjoyed the New England Chinese food fix, beyond the nostalgia, the food wasn’t really good. I felt kinda terrible the next day.

Yeah, the ramen spot here is good, but they decided to close for the winter this year.
Also, yes, I drove by Alfred’s Consignments this morning and, yes, that makes sense that Jade Tree used to be there.

I don’t. Where was that?
I seem to remember that back in the 90s there were more Chinese places in East Bay that delivered. Shrimp chow mein was a big treat on Friday night.

Reply to Millions of Americans nearing retirement age with no savings - Cumberland, RI woman interviewed by newengland_schmuck
A friend of mine and her husband have two kinds, two houses, a very nice car, and somehow do all this on one income. Maaaaybe her husband makes serious bank, or maybe they’re able to fully cover their living expenses with rental income, but I’m not convinced. I can only assume that they’re just about living paycheck to paycheck.
