I think the warped spacebar issue might be extremely over exaggerated. I have opened like 10 gmk sets in the past year and have not run into any issues with the spacebar being warped and I only use the 7u one, it is also possible that it is just extremely rare. The people posting about it could be attributing issues with their stabilizer or switch to a "warped spacebar". Aesthetically I also don't believe you would be able to see these slight warps when it is on a keyboard.

When people have any issue with something as expensive as this they are going to be really loud about it and it will gain a lot of visibility, rightfully so, but you and the commenter two comments up have to consider that this creates a bias that makes it look like everyone is having problems with gmk when really almost no one is.

I think they may just not be updating their website. The information I have is from Space holding's discord and this information is the same for all vendors. You were still able to preorder gmk striker extras while it was in production after the gb period, the gmk lavender gb came after striker r2. You can try to cancel your order, but I dont think they will agree so another option is to sell the gmk lavender kits you bought on the aftermarket when it has shipped to you

What are you talking about? GMK Lavender has finished production and is shipping to vendors. All gmk kits for a set are produced at the same time so I have no idea what you are talking about when you are saying that the Rabendra kit has no info or updates but the core kit does. I also don't understand why you didn't pre order striker 2 instead of lavender if that is what you really wanted. Gmk group buys are disappointingly long but it seems like you were completely unaware of that, every vendor has lots of disclaimers about the group buys on the product page and at checkout

Another miss to add to the unfortunately not even close to exhaustive list: https://www.reddit.com/r/MechanicalKeyboards/comments/vrakyg/comment/ievo43n/

I want to add to this another problematic designer: Sxmdesigns. In a now deleted apology thread (comments can be found here) they also got into trouble with their renders and color matching and they have been overcharging for sets and running new gbs like mad while still not having finished a single full gb yet I believe. They ended up deleting the thread and blocking people that pointed out negative things they had done (including me) after they were caught trying to change the narrative with an OBVIOUS ALT ACCOUNT. I have been doing a small investigation into this designer and may make a separate post about it.

I 1000% blame the vendors for not vetting these designers and not taking any disciplinary action when their gbs fail and don't look as advertised. They did nothing to Ren after the absolute disaster of the original PNC and still let them run more sets! Gerg would also be running more gbs with these vendors if he didn't ghost the whole hobby on his own after his failure, changing the colors during color matching. The vendors are also part of the color matching process, they are allowing all this. The vendors are also not putting pressure on gmk to allow color matching before gb so people actually know what they are buying and they can definitely make this demand since we account for about half of gmk's revenue. We need to have color matching before gb, with the samples measured against color chips with a spectrophotometer so everyone knows what they are buying, and certainly no one should be allowed to change the colors after the gb is paid for unless they refund everyone and start the gb over again I can't believe this is even a thing but most of the scuffed gmk sets were scuffed because of this, they can just rug pull the colors without consulting the people financing the gb.

Since the vendors have so far completely failed to hold designers accountable, the moderators of this subreddit and r/mm can take action by banning or forcing disclaimers on posts from these repeat offenders to protect consumers and the reputation of all the good designers out there. This sub and r/mm are responsible for so much of the traffic and news in this hobby, it would have tangible effects to their bottom lines.

They are just low end switches, I think with your switches they are somewhat scratchy and have some spring/leaf ping. The price/value is ok not good or great, and you didn't get to choose. I am sure it would be fine for most people especially if they are new, but if you have been using some of the better switches (which are not that much more money) you probably would not want this. They would be good if lubed but it's probably not worth your time on a low end switch.

I think people were hoping to get something at least slightly unique or interesting but it's just a basic below average switch which is exactly what I was expecting given this price and my belief that this mystery box is just a vehicle to dump stale inventory. I don't agree with the concept of a mystery box on a fundamental level. The whole point of getting a custom board, and either paying more for hotswap or taking the time and equipment to solder, is that you can customize it to your exact preference and there are so many options, something for everyone. If you just mystery box a basic low end switch, what was the point of all this, you could have just gotten a cheaper prebuilt keyboard.

It's because Kate left Rama, I think they lost their manufacturing contact and they definitely also lost Wilba. She has been fulfilling artisan keycap gbs in like 3 months in comparison. The situation with CAPS is quite unbelievable actually. Rama sold like 10 colorways and is still releasing more colorways without ever even finalizing the mold. Other keycap manufacturers like gmk epbt etc have a working mold they only have a long wait time because there is a long queue of orders. Rama basically took advantage of consumers being used to long wait times to sell a half finished project early. It's a genius business move, where other business would need to take out a loan, he can get all the money from all the sales upfront before making anything, but it leaves the customer with no real guarantee of quality and no eta.

The product links all seem to work now. It will be limited to 500 units and include keycaps https://ramaworks.store/pages/kaijukingz/#kaiju-collection

I'm honestly quite shocked they have the guts to release another caps color way when they have not fulfilled any previous caps gb and I think it has been a year since they started those

Check out what I found, if you just search for the symbol * on their store it will list everything and you can also see that there is a second bundle for $337 and an artisan keycap collab in the CAPS/KATE profile for $42

Also they have the password thing on products they are still working on all the time I think it is just a shopify thing. They also use password products to release things early to people who sign up for the mailing list.
