My daughter has a couple of those small backpacks that would work, I think.

UGH. So no more backpacks? That sucks. We always load two backpacks up with waters and Gatorades to get use through the day, and we use the backpacks to put stuff in like hats and glasses when we go on rides that you are required to remove them. I guess maybe those drawstring bags my kids like will work?

I’ll have to actually look for it, I forgot about it so I haven’t really “looked” for it and the seasoning/spice aisle isn’t one I go down most trips to the store, only when I need something.

I love that stuff. Haven’t had it in years though. Where can you still get it?

Mine too. We just have to make it through the next three weeks and I think we will be in the clear as far as any possible big snow events are concerned.

I don’t see it either. If we are going to have a mega thread for this, it needs to be visible.

Sure did. I have confidence that it won’t be handled like that ever again. I don’t think either side has the stomach for it again. I know most of the American public doesn’t. And I’ll admit I was wrong because at the time I thought it was the right thing to do.

Yep. Chains like Olive Garden that is glorified fast food has become fine dining with the prices they charge. I don’t know what the answer is for this to get better. This pandemic really fucked things up bad.

We rarely go out as a family anymore. Most of the time if my wife and I want go out, we make something for the kids at home to save money. Or we drive though somewhere on our way home for them (fast food has gone up also though). And incomes definitely haven’t adjusted, my percentage raise every year is always the same.

I think the cost of eating out is the biggest problem now. Every restaurant has had prices increases and it makes it tough to eat out as regularly as people did before the pandemic. I don’t think being leery of eating out is that big of an issue, it might still be a little but not a lot. People are packing stadiums and arenas for concerts and sporting events, etc. All the people I know are over the fear of eating out that they had during 2020 and most of 2021. Yes there are still people that won’t and I don’t discount their concerns especially if it’s for underlying health reasons. I just don’t think that’s a main cause anymore, it’s the prices. For example if a meal was $9.99 in 2020 pre-COVID, it’s probably $3 to $4 MORE now. Add that up if you are eating out as a family of four and it’s like paying for another meal.

Wow, I never knew that. We were at Laurel Caverns last year but it was a very foggy morning so we couldn’t see that. If we ever go again and it’s clear out I’m going to look for it.

I’ve never been but I have some older friends from a Facebook Group that are regulars there, they use it as a place to get together and talk. This is exactly the place you are looking for from what I can tell.

It’s way better than all of those other fake videos people put out where it’s obvious it’s staged. At least at first watch you don’t assume it’s fake, and even if it is, it’s done so well you could believe it happening.

I was there last night. Couldn’t figure out how he got in to begin with and then onto the court. Viral stunt or not, it’s pretty funny, and making national news for something harmless like that is always good.

Yep had them come to my door about four/five months ago, didn’t realize it was a scam until my wife overheard them asking me to see our bills, she had gotten them when she answered the door earlier in the year.
Don’t even let them finish the first sentence next time before telling them never to come back and closing the door in their faces.

No, not going through anything at all. I don’t care that they sent a letter, just was surprised they are still doing things that way. This letter wasn’t really personal, was more of a, quote, “the world conditions are getting worse” but they’ll get better. I don’t begrudge anyone who does this or comes to my door, it’s part of what they have to do, I’m just never going to have any interest in joining the JW.
