Siegel and Shuster had nothing to do with the Joker. The Joker was based on The Man Who Laughs and was conceived by Bill Finger and Jerry Robinson.

I love Doom Patrol but it's not for everyone. It's like a live action Invader Zim type show but weirder and much more violent. The characters are all deeply flawed but likable.

I wouldn't mind seeing a new take on something that didn't do well but had an interesting premise. I always thought Small Wonder was an odd choice for a sitcom but would make a crazy Westworld style drama. It's about a family that adopts a little girl that is secretly a robot. I think it would be interesting if the robot was created in response to the death of a child that the father has to cover up because he killed her and is trying to keep the secret from everyone including Vicki the robot. Something like that, but not necessarily that could be good.
Edit: The big twist would be that the Dad didn't kill Vicki. He made a robot that was identical to his daughter in every way in order to show investors and get them to guess which one was real and robot Vicki killed real Vicki. It could work.
