There’s a challenger running in the primary for sheriff. Michael Untermeyer. Seems unconnected to the current corrupt stuff that happens there. I’m voting for him if only to get the current group out.

A thing I’ve learned about appliances is that once they’re old beyond a certain point, they last forever. It’s the five year old thing that will fall apart (and the manufacturer acts like you’re delusional for expecting better).

But if they need something removable, there are much stronger options out there than a rope. There are those wide poles that go up and down into the ground (I don’t know what they’re called).

Penn and Temple both do this. I went to the Penn one years ago and IIRC it took a while to get scheduled, so start early if you’re interested.

It’s really bad in the area near Jefferson and Wills Eye, where a lot of less-mobile people are trying to get to medical appointments.

Kenney ran on this and dropped the ball, but there are a lot of other officials who could and should be doing something. It’s inexcusable.

I don’t think the government cares because so much of that money went right back into the economy. It might not be fair, but it wasn’t about fairness toward individual people; it was about keeping the overall system going and keeping companies in business.
