I’ll never understand it, they call off for snow but not for ice, which is obviously much more dangerous? And the vast majority of students are young and new drivers, yet they expect them to drive to show up to class.

I do online classes so I don’t have the problem, but personally I would be skipping

The best thing you can do for yourself is get YOURSELF help. I know it sucks, I know you want and deserve Justice, but your health comes before any of that.

Seek mental help, therapy. Not because you’re crazy, because you went through something horrific and traumatizing. Our mental health has a very direct impact on our physical health.

I’m sure you have other physical issues going on as well as a result of the terrible circumstances, but since you said the doctors aren’t helping you maybe you should just take the path that helps you the most- getting the mental health checked!

I hope you can get the help you need. So sorry something like this happened to you and I’m sorry law enforcement is useless

As someone else said, you should also try getting an attorney when you are able. Lots of attorneys, especially those representing victims, will take on your case with no payment up front “pro bono”

Agree with the other commenter that more context about interests, budget, etc would help a lot here

As a generic answer, though, roller/ice skating is fun, both of which you can do in Springfield

I personally don’t like movies for a first date but the Alamo is a good spot for dinner/drinks and a show

Check out the blue room comedy club! Some great shows go on there

There’s some businesses around town that offer date night classes/sessions for a variety of activities like baking, painting, pottery making, dancing, etc. makes for a great experience to remember!

Edit: some more places/activities lol

Big shot golf, Basically any mini golf place, 1984, Bowling, TommyHawks axe throwing, Wonders of Wildlife aquarium

I was at Walmart today with my sister and one of those “secret shopper” AP guys was very obviously following us for a good while for no reason, it was so uncomfortable. I definitely always feel like I’m being watched when I shop at Walmart

I worked at Walmart previously so when you know what to look for these guys are so obvious 🙄 think they’re slick lolll

Imho I think it’s because on the north side people generally leave you alone unless you mess with them first. I don’t have much experience living on the south side, but people seem to be much more concerned with what their neighbor is doing.

The crime is usually either stuff like theft which is nonviolent and driven by poverty, or it’s directed at a specific individual/group. Unless you’re involved in that “circle” of people, it’s unlikely you’ll become a victim yourself

Definitely not an overreaction

If there is a situation where an adult needs to be in one of the restrooms, it should be an adult of that respective gender

I can’t imagine why a male teacher/administrator would ever put themselves in a situation like this that could lead to allegations anyway. Most adults I know that work with children are very careful with their boundaries just to avoid any accidental drama they don’t want

His actions are SUPER weird and it’s even worse if there are many girls reporting it- meaning he is making them feel uncomfortable.

I actively avoid sunshine at all hours of the day save for nighttime, I guess if you’re used to the congestion it may not be terrible but coming from other sides of town it’s a shitshow

Between chik-fil-a, Starbucks, canes, bass pro, parkview high school down the road, and all the other businesses? There’s no argument you could make in favor of putting more in this area outside of “I want coffee” that would make any sense. There’s plenty of other spots in town that would be able to better handle the extra traffic than an already-congested area

I get it’s probably their “thing” to be friendly and social but every time I go there I swear one of the girls is practically inside of my car talking my ear off. Like actually inside my driver window, leaning on my car door and all

It’s not bad drinks but not good enough to be worth going through that painful interaction

You may get lucky to find a studio/apartment that cheap but it’s very unlikely that is the “all included” price for it. Also, once you find one good luck getting into it, and if you’re a young person with little to no rental/credit history it’s close to impossible

I did some (brief) looking and found a few studios for a little over $600 but they only included trash and Wi-Fi, no other utilities. So in reality you’re gonna be paying a lot more than $600 a month for a studio.

Generally the same deal with apartments, the ones I’ve seen that do include utilities start around $950/month which really isn’t that bad tbh, but it’s extremely hard getting into one

I live off scenic and mt Vernon and it is a constant thing here. Anytime I drive on scenic at night there’s someone walking or biking with no lights and dark clothes. The bikes are the worst because you’d at least expect some sort of reflector, but no, and of course you gotta share the road.

I nearly hit a guy once going towards grand, I was probably only a few feet away before I saw him and had to swerve pretty hard. I honked just to warn him and he didn’t even flinch just kept walking. These people have a death wish

It can definitely affect everyone differently! For me it’s helps immensely with my anxiety and panic attacks, but for some it’s the opposite

Hope it goes well for you if you do decide to partake!

Im thinking they meant the increase was $182 total not that they only pay $182, so that’s on top of what they’re already paying.

I thought they meant they only pay $180 a year at first, was about to go crazy trying to find how they managed that

Yeah I definitely did not enjoy seeing a different provider every single time I went. None of them actually knew what was going on with me so I had to re-explain the same stuff every time just to get meds.

One time they just forgot I was there because they stick you in a room and say someone will be by shortly. I waited over an hour before I asked someone that walked by my room what was going on

The only reason I went is because of my insurance and the wait times to see any other psychiatrist is ridiculous. If you want help NOW, good luck 🥲

It’s Springfield, north side Springfield at that. Gunshots are going to be common, so it’s not going to be covered by media unless someone is seriously hurt. If you really want more info on this nearly daily occurrence listen to police scanners after it happens

The main thing to know though is mind your own business and no one will mess with you 🤷‍♀️ leave the crackheads alone lol
