Ok, so let’s say you replace one synapse with a digital one? Is that still you? What if you replace 50%, is that still you? Why not then go 100%? It’s still you if you do it that way.

I discovered the Singularity thesis on StumbleUpon in 2010. i got super obsessed with it for a decade, but I hardly think about it anymore. Some cool things have happened in the past decade, but I’m kinda disappointed at the level of progress. I still think it will happen though.

Tesla AI day was a recruiting event. They had 8 months to work on that robot. I see this improving quickly this decade, and they have a huge software lead with Tesla Vision. It will actually be affordable later this decade, unlike any of the competition,

If you gave a monkey more processing power and memory, I don’t think that would make them more intelligent. just think of the dumbest person you know and compare their intelligence to Nikola Tesla.
