Going to guess it has something to do with money.

Yes you can but you have to go to a DNV that issues real ids. Not all DMVs do. The only one in Philly that does is located at South 70th St. Here is a link to the list of all the DMVs that issue Real ids.

Television: Rick Williams will be right fit to replace Jim Gardner on Channel 6 at 11 p.m.
6ABC taps Rick Williams to replace Jim Gardner on 11 p.m. edition of ‘Action News’
All of these are from when he was announced in January as Jim's replacement for the 11pm news, none of them mention anything about 6pm. Are you sure you are remembering it correctly?

How is Krasner to blame for a state law? Krasner isn't the one who decided that possession of a phoney license plate is only a summary offense.
The issue is that with this currently being a summary offense, the Philadelphia police won't do anything about it because they will just consider it part of the Driving Equity Bill and something they are not allowed to pull someone over for.

Completely agree that the sentence is not nearly enough but just wanted to clarify that he sold the guns after the Roxborough shooting occurred.

> Why don't stores have to lock-up firearms the same way people with kids need to lock them up? If you have a kid in your home and own a weapon, and the kid gets the weapon, you're liable for anything and everything that happens.
That is not true for PA. There is no federal or PA safe storage law.
While 27 states and the District of Columbia have made it illegal for parents to carelessly leave weapons around children that are not supervised, Pennsylvania is not one of them. For a parent or guardian to face criminal charges after a minor uses their weapon, the prosecution must be able to show that the adult intentionally gave the gun to the minor. This is very difficult to prove and may be the reason why the Office of Attorney General has not seen even one case involving this law in recent years.
Now I personally believe there should be a safe storage law federally or at the PA state level but don't see that happening any time soon.
