It could be for a few reasons.

  1. The Hotel was labeled as a Public Nuisance because of the drug use and prostitution. And had to be shut down.

  2. The Bank took over the Hotel because the owner(s) were not making the payments. Likely because they had so many people squatting.

Either way I am happy. The place was an eye sore for a long time. Things needed to change.

Market saturation my friend.

There are 2 7-Elevens on Broad Street and another right around the corner on Market.

It's the exact same store, and they are all 10-15 minute walks within each other.

Something had to change. Things like this are exactly why Downtown has been an Food Desert for ages.

The TV Show Brick City is not really a Documentary but it covers a lot of what was happening in the city between the late 2000's to Early 2010's. You can watch it for free on Pluto.

Jersey Strong is a spinoff from Brick City, it is its own thing.

Jacked: Auto Theft Task Force was another show that EVERYONE was watching at the time because it gave away some of the tricks that cops were using to arrest people. I believe that is on Pluto as well.

Your 1st appointment should be virtual unless specified otherwise.

So have your laptop or tablet ready.

The Landlord has nothing to do with it.

If you really feel like something's wrong, you can call and ask for an audit. That way someone can come out and actually check if any lines are crossed and everyone is being billed correctly.

But everybody is getting crazy bills. And as previously mentioned, they are going up 25% more.

My advice to you is to get on PSEG's Equal Payment Plan as fast as you can. That way you will know exactly what you're going to be paying for every month.
