Oh wow I never considered that. I went to school for poli Sci and have considered getting my paralegal certification. Also trying to get a job in the court house and it took your comment for me to realize that may make future trips to jury duty a non-starter.

I went once, sat for four hours and wasn't selected. Got my fancy 12 dollar check a couple weeks later. But I enjoyed the experience getting to see the court process in action.

So anyone working in the justice system shouldn't be a juror?

That's why I'm always impressed with folks who admit they were in a cult. It's easier to just pretend it didn't happen and that you weren't conned into giving your time and identity to another person. But those who admit at least have a chance to grow and not repeat the same mistakes. Not so sure about those who try to forget.

Careful bud. If you actually live in PA we are a closed primary state (something I disagree with heavily) and as such once you register as independent you are cutting yourself entirely out of the primary process in this state. My in laws are independents and nothing gets my father in law more annoyed than the reminder he can't vote on primary day unless there's a referendum. I worked the primaries last year and had to refuse over a dozen independents from voting because there was nothing for them to vote for.

Not saying you shouldn't change registration, do you. Just be aware that it's more than a self identity thing here, it comes with consequences.

Lehigh is the diamond in the rough of NEPA. It's where a lot of my friends and family moved to after leaving the Poconos. I just can't leave the beauty of this place for the fields and warehouses, but damn I can't deny the money is better. My wife commutes there as well for work and I have several times with different jobs.

I do think Nazareth is becoming an interesting spot.

Daughter had severe mental issues and the parents likely had something as well.

Suicide will never make sense to me as an agnostic, as such I don't know if I'll ever be able to truly empathize with the mindset. I don't understand it and can't pretend to. As a result I doubt you or I will ever get a proper explanation of why outside of those letters going public.

The fact that they pulled this off for 2 years is impressive to me, you'd think there'd be more oversight for such a big airport tax service but I guess they saw an opportunity and boy did they run with it. The Russian angle is interesting too, makes me wonder how they initially met and how this started. Maybe not movie interesting but I'd love to hear a podcast about this.
