Reply to James Webb Telescope captures the same galaxy at three different points in time in a single mind-boggling image by mirzavadoodulbaig
Theoretically, if you had a telescope that could see all the way back to the Big Bang and right after, shouldn't you be able to point the telescope at any point in the sky and see it but at different angles?

Reply to AI is accelerating the loss of individuality in the same way that mass production and consumerism replaced craftsmanship and originality in the 20th century. But perhaps there’s a silver lining. by SpinCharm
The Internet killed my individuality when it kept showing me 50 posts that said the same thing as mine that people posted before me. But it hasn't harmed my craftsmanship.

Anybody else catching a huge whiff of cringe from "Cocaine Bear," like it's trying way too hard to be funny but is not funny in any way?

Reply to Why do so many people assume malevolent AI won’t be an issue until future AI controlled robots and drones come into play? What if malevolent AI has already been in play, covertly, via social media or other distributed/connected platforms? -if this post gets deleted by a bot, we might have the answer by Shaboda
People are so bad at conceptualizing non-human intelligence (or even human intelligence for that matter) we are probably already deep into AI control but are too stupid to recognize it even if it is staring us right in the face -- right now.

I keep getting the feeling that the US is using Artemis as a kind of placeholder so they don't get edged out of all that free Moon real estate by the Chinese (among other countries with active lunar programs).

Reply to Signatures of alien technology could be how humanity first finds extraterrestrial life by WallStreetDoesntBet
They may not use what we consider to be technology. What if their main form of travel is dreams, and they consist of concepts transmitted to receptive individuals who apply the concepts to their own species then culture with the ultimate effect of the concepts being sent out by us too. Like right now on the Internet. We don't even know we've been invaded. And dreams have never been proven to exist. All of the evidence is anecdotal.
