Weather will have a touch of schizophrenia with a large front of black flies. I have a summer place in Wells I have been going to for years and weather is a 100% toss up around Memorial Day. Still love it though.

What go to Market Basket or Papa Gino’s? No offense to either because I like both. For a college kid there’s not a whole lot of night life. Of course there’s things to do but not like in a city.

Billerica and surrounding towns are fine. Lowell would be only one I would not recommend. Not much to do in any Middlesex County town. But Burlington is close, Boston only 20 minutes away. Billerica and all surrounding towns have same housing problems. Should be a lot of apartments to choose from. But you will 100% need roommates to make it work.

I’ve lived in Tewksbury for most of my life. I’m 45. I lived in NH for only 6 years Tewksbury the rest. It has the same exact issues as any suburb. Schools are decent. Not bad, not great. My kids have been in school system here since preschool. I don’t sing it’s praises but I don’t have any major complaints either.

Yes it has some crap bag people in it. There is no town that doesn’t. Biggest issue is 495 passes Tewksbury to make it easy for Lawrence and Lowell drug drop offs. However, Tewksbury PD is absolutely fantastic. They don’t mess around and there are always drug busts.

House prices suck, taxes suck. But there are no towns in Merrimack valley that are “cheap”. If you want cheap go to northern Maine.

Traffic sucks and will get worse. Treehouse brewery will be opening on rt 38 in April. I can only imagine what kind of traffic jams that will cause. On any weekday going from Woburn through Wilmington to Tewksbury on rt 38 can be unbearable.

Everyone that I am around from the town are usually really good people. Like I said, of course there are crap bag people. There is no avoiding it. If my work wasn’t located 10 minutes away and my kids weren’t still in school I would move. But not because Tewksbury sucks. I just want more land and privacy.

People can debate if global warming is real and what the cause is. I think it’s simple. I’ve lived in MA my entire life. When I was a kid I remember sitting at the bus stop with a hoodie or a jacket and it being cold. Now there are 90 degree days and my kids wear shorts to school until the end of October. I used to play pond hockey all winter. Now I don’t even think our ponds ever have a chance to develop ice thick enough.

We are now in a pattern of weather extremes. Last 10 or so years we’ve had a weird October nor’easter that brings rain/ice and tons of wind. We have days in the dead of winter that are above 50 degrees with warm tropical like wind. We haven’t had a normal winter comparable to when I was a kid for a very long time.
