It‘s not confirmed, so we can’t be sure until WWDC. If they drop support for the iPhone 8 this would also mean that they have to drop it for the iPhone X as well and that would be a shame. The 8/X got 5 years of software updates and the 6s got 6 years. So there might be a chance for the 8/X getting iOS 17. But I don’t expect Apple to support iOS 18+.

It depends. I usually don‘t use it because often my screen looks to yellow when turned on. But on some occasions especially when I‘m in a car or train my display looks too cool, sometimes slightly purple and then I turn true tone on and everything looks perfect.

I‘ve had the Galaxy S2 up to the S8. The S8 was such a bad phone that I sold it only one week after buying it. Then I wanted to try something different and bought an iPhone 7. I liked it so much that I stayed with iPhones and even switched to iPads. I always used Macs and it was kinda more comfortable when everything fits right into the ecosystem.
