I can’t recommend. We tried using them last year. I say tried because after weeks of them not responding to either my wife or myself after we uploaded our documents, they only got back to us after I deleted my files because we needed to get them filed and just went to H&R Block because they answered the phone.

I hope they’re using KY this time.

My wife and I went to check it out one time. We walked for 30 minutes and left because it was so dull.

Get some space heaters. We got some decent ones from wayfair that look nice and haven’t jacked our electric. We have a gas furnace and it’s already really expensive to heat our house since the cost basically doubled in the last year but with the heaters we’ve kept it mostly under control.

People tend to forget that just because you can do something it doesn’t mean you can teach the thing.

My stepdad is a master carpenter and can fix literally anything he looks at no matter what it is. But watching him try to teach someone is the most painful thing in the world.

Seconding this. We had an awesome lady take care of our three cats each time we’ve gone away for a week or more and it was great.

We also have a neighbor do it who’s usually ok but having a “professional” come for longer stays is nice too.

Where are they ticketing in PR?! No one had any around our house in years.

We have to take our son into the street constantly because the curb cuts and crosswalks are blocked by cars. Not to mention the amount of times I’ve almost had the front of my car ripped off because I had to inch out to see if anyone was coming.

Our neighborhood is rife with this shit. Same people. Every day. Every week. It’s ‘their’ parking space so fuck everyone else. On top of them no longer being ADA accessible, anyone with a small child in a stroller needs to go out into the middle of the road because some assholes decided they didn’t want to walk a block to their car.

I just got a ton from the ShopRite on Aramingo in Port Richmond. They carry a ton of Bobs Red Mill products so I’m always stocked!

Edit. Shop Rites usually have a ton of vegan options. I know they’re not a small local business but I’ll take what I can get in my neighborhood :)

Damn I should have let them do the ikea bed we had. I ended up have to go to the hardware store across the street to buy a $15 tiny wrench for the weird bolts on it 😅

Weird. Was yours a full day move or a half day? I know for ours they did it in the morning and then went to another smaller one in the afternoon.

We moved from a one bedroom apartment and from them arriving to them leaving our new place was MAYBE 3 hours total. I think with tip I paid $700. It was three guys who came and I didn’t have to lift a finger besides packing everything beforehand. (They will pack for you but obviously they charge) All I did was point them where to go from my porch at the new house. Also, they only take cash, or at least they did which is fine since you get a copy of the full bill so it’s all legit.

Here to say Mambo. Super professional, fast, and reasonably priced. Everything made it safely across the city. I actually had to haul ass to get to my new place before they did!
