Understand that you aren’t the main character in life. It’s that simple. Time doesn’t bend to your will. I bet you drive to closely to the cars in front of you too right?
Just relax. There’s no end to the race of life other than death. So slow down and breathe.
Also think of all the great advice you’ve missed being impatient.

Reply to LPT Request: How to keep a cleaner home by bschumm1
My suggestion is to follow her lead when it comes to cleaning, but also go at your own pace. You say she likes to clean things as soon as their dirty so you can help here by putting used dishes away, put used clothes in the laundry basket and properly sorted, inverted, whatever.
There's an easy cleaning mantra that will help you:
"Don't put it down; put it away."
If you see your wife cleaning something that's a bigger task offer to help or just start helping. How you did things in the past is not how you will do things in your new family. Your wife might relax over time or she might pretend she is while feeling an underlying feeling of stress that the house isn't more clean.
Just be helpful and do your best. Cleaning is a great time to catch up on podcasts or listen to a book on tape. The Lord of the Rings read by Andy Serkis are really enjoyable.

It’s amazing no company has made a reasonable cost self balancing ladder. Seems like a very simple problem given all we can do these days.

This is how I think it works.
- news blogger needs content
- searches Twitter for anyone complaining
- find two and write article on how everyone feels the same
It’s why I quit watching the local news.

If they ask you a question during a gossip session act like you haven’t been paying attention. Or just leave the room when it starts. You can easily excuse yourself.

Chicken fried rice.
1 roasted chicken from the store (Sam’s is like $5 for a whole chicken)
1 box of 5 min rice
1 bag of mixed vegetables
1 white onion
3-4 eggs
Garlic
Salt, pepper, cooking oil and soy sauce.
- Boil water and then add 5 min rice.
- After rice is added remove from heat and let sit covered for 5 minutes.
- Cook the onion and garlic in some oil until the onions turn clear
- Add in the vegetables and cook them throughly. Of your bag has carrots you might want to boil the veges first. Carrots take forever to cook.
- Split veges to one side and add your eggs
- Once the eggs are cooked and your chicken (chopped up)
- Now once the chicken is hot add rice
- Add soy sauce to add color and flavor.
- Let everything cook together and when ready eat!
I made this yesterday with 3 cups of rice and it will last me at least a week or more. I normally reheat it over the stove with fresh soy sauce to give it a fresh taste. It’s normally made with old rice so it’s perfect!

Reply to LPT Request: Tips on how to stay organised and motivated. by ConnieSparkles
Make a routine or schedule time to self organize.
In the morning I go for a walk and mentally plan my day until lunch. At lunch I plan my afternoon. At dinner I plan my evening.
Before I finish work I make a todo list for the next day so I know what I need to work on when I start work.
Take notes and write everything down.
