Same! Skipped the honeymoon for a home instead and don’t regret a thing.

Reply to comment by moppsy in How can one prove to the state they owned their house in 2019? by TheQs55
Correct! The state employee I spoke to called the accounting department over at the division of taxation and they had our ownership on record, but the department that directly deals with the ANCHOR has program did not. Just seems like the information is not recorded across the board, or at least can get missed sometimes. The employee alluded to this becoming more common since COVID. Either way, we had to send a copy of our deed.

If this is for the ANCHOR program, we were instructed to send a copy of our deed with the rest of the paperwork. Because somehow the state didn’t have on record that we own our house even though we pay taxes - go figure!

Reply to Commute to NYC from Bridgewater? by soundslikemitch
Husband and I live in Bridgewater and really like it. We are very close (walking distance) to the RVL stop in Raritan, as well as a very short drive to the Somerville station. That being said, transferring trains since it doesn’t go direct to NYC can be a real pain. We typically drive to a station with a direct line and this makes a big difference. But depending on how many days you need to go into the office, even that may not be worth it based on how much time you’re willing to spend on your commute. Good luck!

Sounds like OP has a student to student issue, not a teacher issue. As a teacher, I’m sorry you had a bad experience with teaching staff. Most of us love our students and strive to make a positive impact.

Reply to How is Bridgewater/Bedminster compared to other areas in NJ? by [deleted]
Husband and I live in Bridgewater and love it. We’re closer to the southern end of Bridgewater as opposed to Bedminster, which is north. There is a lot of retail, including the Bridgewater mall, if you’re interested in that type of thing. We mostly enjoy the great parks and closeby downtowns (since Bridgewater doesn’t really have one itself). Somerville has a lot of great dining options, many of which are BYOB, and some decent bars. It’s extremely walkable. Downtown Raritan has some gems too. We really like the area and it feels accessible to everything. Welcome!
