Kenwood has not really kept their cherry trees the way the park service has. They peaked some time in the 90’s or early otts.
Chery blossoms down town are a metro, walk or ride in activity. Tomorrow will be ideal.

Cherry blossoms are amazing, I work in the area and can understand why people book up our hotels from all over the world for it. People who drive down their to try and park are doing it wrong and that ruins it completely for them and a little for everyone else.

Agree. This is really the first time-where the perpetrating officers were either fired immediately or charged criminally. Often, we only finally see these videos after months if not years of foi requests and then we often learn that the officer remains on the force.
This whole incident shows what is meant by “structural racism”. Our law enforcement infrastructure evolved from the patchwork of private and public jails and slave catching forces that were used to catch runaways and chasten rebellious or naughty slaves.
As a result of this slave catching, us vs them mentality, a white person is far more likely to be killed by police in the United States or Brazil than a black person in any part of Western Europe.

Reply to The Metro is the reason my car stays in the garage for weeks at a time. Without it, I would be driving 3-4 days a week. How much more frequently would you be driving if it weren’t for the Metro? by SuperBethesda
Between metro and my bike I haven’t driven in 2 weeks. Work day starts the moment I walk in the door, ends the moment I leave, been since august and I have never been happier nor healthier with all the reading and riding I’ve been doing in the time I used to spend fighting traffic. Door-to-door it is actually faster because I don’t have to park and walk to my office.
