Dan Brown- I happen to like how the books are written, formulaic or not.
Dave Barry - his books give me good belly laughs.

Reply to Buy books or borrow from library? by ladyluckyy777
Generally my first choice is to borrow from the library, due to limited space and money. My next choice is to buy second hand (if I can find a copy that's in decent shape) if I think I will reread it. I will buy a new book only if I can't find it elsewhere, or if it's a longer book with an unacceptably short checkout time at the library.

Books that I anticipate reading this year, I keep track of online on my "for later" shelf through my library. Any other books I keep a list of in a physical notebook.

I've been reading a combination of fiction and nonfiction for the last 7 years and I'm nearly 60. My fiction is mostly classics. I don't see myself losing interest in fiction any time soon.

The only one that comes to mind at the moment is To Kill A Mockingbird. I was highly disappointed in Go Set A Watchman by comparison (maybe I'm missing something in my perspective?). I just felt the writing wasn't as good as the first book.

I mostly use the library. I usually raid my husband's or son's stash if I can't get to the library, or if the book is incessantly checked out. I am also considering buying my own copy of Don Quixote, due to the fact that it is only available online and the library only allows you 2 weeks to finish it, and I think I will need 3 or 4 weeks to do so.
