I bought a brand new G-Pro Superlight from Logitech a few months ago and it still uses micro-USB for some unfathomable reason.

That fizzled out about a decade ago.
He doesn't seem interested in making animated sitcoms anymore.

Reply to We could learn something from George Lucas’s “Special Edition” version of the original Star Wars trilogy by MrFoxManBoy
I think they would be a lot less controversial if they stuck purely to technical upgrades, rather than making major changes to the editing, tone, and environments.
This is why I think Empire Strikes Back is the least controversial special edition (and it's the only one I actually prefer over watching the Despecialized version). It didn't get a bunch of ugly CGI additions like the other two films. Most of the changes were centered around cleaning up '80s effects work, not replacing it. The entire Battle of Hoth looks so much better than it used to since they were able to digitally re-composite all the original film elements that were originally assembled photochemically.
Star Wars (1977) got done the dirtiest by the "Special Edition treatment. It changed some minor plot points, re-introduced a scene that was deleted because it was redundent (everything we need to know about Han and Jabba's relationship was already conveyed by Greedo in the cantina), and all the CGI additions feel extremely out of place in a film that otherwise looks like it was made in the '70s.
I think Blade Runner: The Final Cut is the gold standard for how these kinds of remasters should be handled. The new version itself looks and sounds great, without any added nonsense. It feels like a version Ridley Scott could have released in 1982 if given the power. But even if it was bad, they still had the good sense to include multiple original cuts of the film in the Blu-Ray set.

Yeah, I remember when their Penryn-based chips came out and even with a single core they wiped the floor with my aging Pentium 4 at much lower clock speeds

Apple products are difficult to repair making them hard to declare "BIFL", but they are still built like tanks and last a long time.
This year's iPhone is a lot more user-serviceable than previous models so hopefully they are moving in the right direction.

Reply to Disney Expands Partnership With Japan’s Kodansha to Release More Anime Originals by HumanOrAlien
This is so strange to me. For 20 years, Disney had a relationship with Studio Ghibli that started out strong but was seemingly squandered in the latter half. You would think Disney and Ghibli are a match made in heaven. When they split up, I assumed Disney just didn't feel like they had any idea how to market and distribute anime.

What are you talking about? There are lots of GPUs in prices ranging from $200 all the way up to those obnoxious prices.
There have always been obnoxiously overpriced options for those looking to stroke their e-peen. It used to be SLI builds, then Titan cards, now xx90.

I don't expect them to ever become mainstream, because they provide no real value.
8K TVs have been around for years and there is still nobody even talking about making content for them, because even with 20/20 vision you can't see the difference at any reasonable sitting distance.

I had higher priorities for mouse features than what fucking charging port it uses. USB-C is firmly in the "nice to have" category.
