If you meet all the qualifications to renew online, there should be nothing preventing you from trying.

I plan to do the same online renewal process with my REAL ID when it is up for renewal next year without needing any confirmation. Someone has to be first, right?

The documentation here seems very straight forward.

You cannot renew online if any of the following are true for you:

  • You didn’t get a new photo taken the last time you renewed your driver’s license.
  • You’re applying for a REAL ID license for the first time. To get a REAL ID, please make an in-person appointment.
  • You are active-duty U.S. military or were honorably discharged in the last 60 days and wish to do a no fee renewal. Learn more about how military personnel can renew their driver’s license.
  • You’re not a U.S. citizen. Please make an appointment to renew in person.
  • You have a commercial driver’s license. Learn how to renew a commercial driver’s license.
  • Your license is suspended. Learn more about how to resolve a suspension.
  • You have a drive-only license. Learn how to renew a drive-only license.
  • Your license is expired two or more years. Please follow the procedure for getting a new driver’s license.
  • You have an S, V, A, or F endorsement. Please make an appointment to renew in person.
  • You do not have a first name or need to update your name. Please make an appointment to renew in person.

If you're not needing a new picture and are just renewing a REAL ID license, you can renew online.

If you're part of a family group and this person is part of said family group, you could be sharing your location that way.

Settings > Family > Location Sharing > and turn off any location sharing you may be doing.

It's possible that this person may have Notifications turned on for Find My when you or someone else enters their area.

We made the switch on 11/18 and got the same email. Further down it details:

  • We will contact your local utility to submit your request to enroll with us.
  • Once the utility accepts your request to switch and provides us with
your start date, we will send a welcome package to you outlining your
    plan details.
  • Typically, your switch will be completed within one to two billing cycles, depending on your utility.

We made the switch on 11/18 with our UI bill month ending on 11/21. I'm not expecting to hear back until at least the end of December. This jives well with the new rates coming into place.

>Many landscapers do it too.

Believe me, I've been calling / inquiring with landscapers in the area. Either they're not returning my calls or are not taking on new clients unless we happen to be right next to a client they're already serving.

I'm becoming more resigned to the fact that I'm going to be purchasing a snow blower and doing it myself.

Call your insurance company. Let them deal with Home Depot for recompense. But the important thing is to get the stuff repaired.

Our old dishwasher leaked causing our hardwood floor to warp. The repair required our floor to be refinished and since it was the entry way to the entire place, we needed to be put up in a hotel for a week or two, so yeah unfortunately this is a real occurrence. We needed to hire a moving company to move things into storage. Putting us up and moving things into storage was all covered by insurance. Our adjustor also called Serv Pro to get things sorted with mold and drying things out.

It sucks that you're going through this, but it needs to be done.
