Typically I'm pretty anti-NIMBY, but development for the sake of development is also un-wise.
Outside of the tax revenue and a handful of jobs, what benefits will a coffee shop in this specific location provide that will offset the large number of negatives that it will bring?

Reply to Great sidewalk design, Springfield. by MunchieMunk
Anglers Inn (the property where the sidewalk is) was required to build a new sidewalk during their renovation.
Since there wasn't already a sidewalk on the adjacent property, there was no way to require them to connect it to anything.
Seems stupid, is stupid, but really no way to account for it.

Springfield area has one of the highest rates of property crimes in the nation. Lots of those involve people's vehicles.
My insurance has gone up the last 3 years.

Republic one will probably be open by the end of the year.

They shut down sectors when they reach capacity to avoid overloading the network with more clients than their current satellites can handle. When someone stops their service or they add more capacity, wait-listed people get a chance to join.

If money is not a concern, you could explore something like Total High Speed Internet Solutions or Wisper Internet. They are fixed wireless internet providers.
