Uh, no, it's literally what minimum wage allowed from 1950-1980.

Minimum wage was mathematically created to be the amount where one person could support a wife and children.

it hasn't been that for the last... 25 years, tho.

> i made this pay

When, in 1999? Because $26 an hour in 1999 is... $46 an hour today.

You're ignoring basic inflation.

You made THE EQUIVALENT OF $46 an hour when you were young, and pay people THE EQUIVALENT OF $15 an hour now, and think it's the same?

Do some basic math and stop blaming us for wanting what our parents had.

I don't see how that's a problem? The politicians job is to use the knowledge of that staff to accomplish their stated goals. The staff knowing more than the politician isn't... bad. Unless the goal is just to make sure the politician in question is always the smartest person in the room by removing all the other smart people...

Edit: Oh i see

That's not what a shadow government is, because if the elected official feels that way, they can always fire their staff members. Shadow government can't just be fired by an elected official. They are the people runing agencies - without term limits OR having been elected.

Term limits on un-elected agency positions would ALSO stop shadow government as well as solve the generation gap problem.

This is how average people use these words, but this is not correct. Those words have definitions that are much more complex.

Conservative is not the opposite of Liberal, for example. American politics will tell you they are - they are not. Conservatives and Liberals agree on many many political things, and are only divisive on a few specific political actions.

Hillside on one side, Chace on the other, the street with India restaurant at the end of it. We're still looking for the 3 Sisters cafe cat Oscar, he's been spotted around there in the last few days. So we were out on a stakeout last night and met the little batman kitten!

Hi! This cat is still outside!! It was shivering in the bushes near the retirement apartment last night!

We tried to get him to come to us, but he after he ate he was too skittish.

We got a picture of him and it's deffo the same kitten

Edit: Okay, the one we spotted looks like the same kitten, exact same markings, but is one is only 3-4 months old... but has the exact same face and coloring. I wonder if this cat is a she and we found one of her kittens?

They don't report falsehoods, they report the truth in a very, very surface level biased way.

For example a recent story was that some hero kids got a pedophile teacher arrested by doing all the investigative work themselves, after authorities refused to investigate multiple allegations and reports against him.

The headline and article phrased everything so that if you didn't read carefully you would think the teacher was the victim and the kids were just extremist lefty teenagers looking to attack authority.

Yoo, if you're worried about that, you can always let the cat out if it meows at the door.

But what cat WANTS to stay cold and wet all winter?? Cats are domesticated, they are meant to be pets, not wild. This kitty wants your help!
