I still recommend the C&J bus from South Station. Instead of getting off in Seabrook, go up to Portsmouth. The bus terminal is right by the airport and there is an Enterprise at the airport. They will usually pick you up if you are renting from them. This also avoids driving in Boston.

I know someone who stayed at the Courtyard Marriott in Natick for a few years. Long story, but they spoke very highly of management. You would need to call the local number, General Marriott number. Residence Inn, Springfield suites and similar would also likely provide a discount for long term (by hotel standards) stays.

The net cash to a teacher at full retirement is approximately the same as their full salary. A 100K salary will have approximately 11K withheld for retirement. 90K taxed federally and 100K taxed by MA (5K) so you net 84K before federal tax. In retirement you get 80K pension. No withholding for pension, not subject to state tax. Also no longer paying into the teachers Union dues. That final difference of about 3K is mostly made up by only paying federal tax on 80K instead of 90K.

Try the Hampton (NH) Airport Cafe. If it’s a good day there may be small planes landing and taking off. Drive the (short)NH coast. Throwback Brewery is very close by. Lots of others too. Can’t give specifics but there should be plenty of antique stores in the area.
