Maybe Granite Rose in Hampstead. When you look at what they include in the price it isn’t too bad.

Cure or Botanica Restaurant and Gin Bar in Portsmouth. Or venture over the bridge to Kittery and go to Pepperell Cove.

Tradition in construction. “Topping out” signifies a project has reached its full height.

I still recommend the C&J bus from South Station. Instead of getting off in Seabrook, go up to Portsmouth. The bus terminal is right by the airport and there is an Enterprise at the airport. They will usually pick you up if you are renting from them. This also avoids driving in Boston.

I believe this change coincided with Fred “retiring”. It was all downhill after that.

I know someone who stayed at the Courtyard Marriott in Natick for a few years. Long story, but they spoke very highly of management. You would need to call the local number, General Marriott number. Residence Inn, Springfield suites and similar would also likely provide a discount for long term (by hotel standards) stays.

You can make numbers say anything you want, but this is an interesting analysis that found that NH was #1 on the return on investment from taxes:

I believe NH has a current use statute that reduces the real estate taxes on farm land.

C and J bus. From South Station. It stops in Seabrook and Portsmouth. Uber from there.

Reply to BTRS vs Federal pension by TheChronicler011235
The net cash to a teacher at full retirement is approximately the same as their full salary. A 100K salary will have approximately 11K withheld for retirement. 90K taxed federally and 100K taxed by MA (5K) so you net 84K before federal tax. In retirement you get 80K pension. No withholding for pension, not subject to state tax. Also no longer paying into the teachers Union dues. That final difference of about 3K is mostly made up by only paying federal tax on 80K instead of 90K.

Try the Hampton (NH) Airport Cafe. If it’s a good day there may be small planes landing and taking off. Drive the (short)NH coast. Throwback Brewery is very close by. Lots of others too. Can’t give specifics but there should be plenty of antique stores in the area.

MA minimum tax for a Corps is $456 plus the annual report fee, so S Corps are actually more expensive in MA than LLC.

The exemption amount has stayed constant - not indexed. Seems they could have increased the exemption amount and index it for inflation to keep less people from being impacted. This would also provide a reduction in taxes without fully eliminating this revenue stream.
