Yup. I got a quote from one of the larger HVAC providers when I was replacing mine (I can't remember which one), and they said that they hardly ever install them, particularly not on existing houses (where it's more costly to dig the well), in part because regular heat pumps have gotten so efficient that there isn't even that much energy savings for geothermal. I want to say it was going to be something completely insane like $70k including the well to replace one of my three heat pumps with geothermal.

I like Carroll’s Auto on AA Blvd and Patterson. There is often a bit of a wait to get seen (usually no more than a few days) but they’ve always done good work on my cars and I never get the feeling that they’re trying to upsell me on anything.

JCC is pretty great.

I always enjoy running through the Fan and Museum District. Look at the trapezoid bounded by Monument Ave, Laurel Street, Floyd Ave and Roseneath Rd. That's a roughly 6 mile loop. You can weave in the middle streets if you want to add some distance, or go up Arthur Ashe Blvd instead of Roseneath if you want to make it about 5 miles.

• Mongoose Envoy longtail cargo bike, size M/L. In addition to the panniers, I have a couple of padded seats and some fabric over the back area - works well to take a couple of kids around (which was what I did with it until my kids got too heavy - now I have an electric cargo bike to do the same!). I had it tuned up after putting it together, and the front brake is a little squeaky but works fine. Asking $700.

• RoyalBaby green kids' bike with training wheels, 14". Asking $75.

• TooToo V1 balance bike, green. It honestly has hardly ever been used. My kids didn't really take to balance bikes. Asking $50.

• Burley Bee double bike trailer, yellow. Great trailer but I use my cargo bike to take my kids around now (and they're a little too big for it at this point anyway). Fantastic for groceries and stuff too. Asking $200.

• Phil & Teds Navigator stroller, single seater, red. I never really used this (I wasn't able to find the second seat attachment, which is the reason I bought it). Asking $100.

• Softride Access Dura hitch-mounted bike rack (for 4 bikes). It's a great rack and has a good mechanism to get bikes out of the way to access the hatch - but I no longer own a car that has a trailer hitch. It's well-loved but works great. Asking $100.

• Flashpoint Evolv 200 R2 flash kit. Works great, I just don't use it anymore. Asking $200

• Sigma 50mm f/1.4 Art lens for Canon EF mount, with B+W filter. It's a really amazing lens, I just end up leaving my 35mm Art on the camera all the time so I don't really use it. Asking $550.

• Tamron A007 AF 24-70mm f2.8 SP DI VC USD Lens for Canon EF mount. It's a good lens, particularly for video with the VC feature, but I really just use primes so it's been sitting in a drawer for a long time. Asking $250.
