We had them outside my high school. It was an older school with no air conditioning. Opening the windows in spring was really unpleasant.

Did you know anyone who went to a magnet school somewhere else in Baltimore county? My high school was a magnet school and kids were bussed in from Hereford. I don't think I ever though about what would happen if our school was open, but schools in the Hereford zone were closed.

I was 6, and I remember being immensely disappointed when it happened. I had dressed up as a Baltimore Colts cheerleader for Halloween the previous fall.
The funny thing is, I was never really into football. My dad is a big football fan, and he encouraged me to cheer for our home team, but I never really got interested in it the way he was.
